I don't believe any profit minded naija car dealer will "factory repair" a salvaged car abroad because it beats the purpose(higher profit margin) of buying the salvaged car in the first place.

Auction price more than $20k, op we can see the Last auction bid so what do you have to say again in defence?

Another thing exposing this does though is that it helps the public to negotiate better. There is no way this should be N20m. Probably in the N12m to N15m range.

N20m divided by 360 is $55k. Its not likely this would have auctioned for more than $20k which is N7. 2m. Add $5k for repairs - N1. 8, shipping $1. 5k - N540k, customs duty N5mln max. Cost of this car would be in the N13mln range. And this is being generous. It could very well have auctioned for $15k if he was lucky.

COMPAQ:
I totally agree. While there is nothing fundamentally wrong with people buying such cars, repairing and reselling provided they are certified road worthy and fully functional.

The main issue is that Nigerian dealers will never tell you the former status off the car and will try to pass it off as unaccidented.
