Congrats to those that have gotten their Visa and are planning to travel to the UK.

Note the following:

1. Gatwick airport seems to have nicer immigration officers. (This is just like the way custom officers in Abuja are nicer than those ones in lagos This might not be true shaaa

2. At the Port of Entry, ensure to have the precise documents in your back pack. However, do not bring it out except you are asked to present a certain document.

3. The only doc you should hold in your hand is your passport. That doc will be checked and a few random questions will be asked.

4. Know the basic questions like your name, course, start date, school name and where you will be staying.

5. From my observation, they are watching you via camera already, just be calm and smile while responding to the questions.

6. You will only be asked to present other docs if the immigration officer feels something is off with your response or facial expression

7. keep your responses short. The more information you give, the more the skeleton you open and the more questions you might be asked.
E.g Have you eaten? Your answer should be yes and nothing more. Don't start saying Yes, I ate jollof rice and it was very sweet.

8. Let your file be inside your bag, no need to bring it out.

9. Be confident

Manchester is the best. They simply asked what I was here for and then directed me to the train platform, since I had already booked my ticket from Manchester to Hull before arriving.

Honestly anytime I’m asked… I’m always like there’s someone we did the same day thats also awaiting decision

I’m not sure if what I did in the last 24 hours counted or influenced them but I’ll just drop it here.

Sent a response under the paid mail… told them my resumption was 26th and Hostel contract starts 21st (yesterday). I also attached my admission offer letter for them to confirm my resumption date and also attached hostel contract document.

Messaged my school's International engagement center informing them about the delay and asking for assistance in any way.

Got the Visa today.

I have a question guys.. Can I travel from Morocco where I have been since AFCON or do I have to travel from Nigeria ?? Someone please clarify. I have everything needed with me

@Altern8tor No I didn’t get any SLA. They only requested additional document to explain study gap then a confirmation that they received my response. Really wasn’t too bothered about it because we did the same day so I was using yours to console myself 😃

Here are my shocking findings... D lady says my file got to their desk on the 22nd of December and that I have to wait for 21 working days to get a decision,,,if I don't get a decision in dat time,,I can then call to escalate it... So all ds while we have been told it's 15working days whereas it's actually 21 working days.... May God help us all
