I traveled 2 days ago, so maybe i should share my experience.

Make sure you generate your share code on ukvi site cuz you will need it when you want to create a profile(at least for Virgin atlantic. Don't know for other airlines). After going through the normal Nigerian airport check, we landed in Heathrow and then i met a looooong queue at the Uk border. When it got to my turn, i presented only my passport, the border officer only asked me what i came to the uk to do, the name of my school, the course name, the duration of my course and when am to resume. She then asked me to thumbprint. That was all. And for most people i boarded with, the conversation didn't take a minute in some cases. It maybe because the queue was long and they needed to attend to people as quick as possible. But there was no serious question as regards Pof or life after study. She didn't even request for my documents, neither did the other border officer ask people for their documents other than their passport. So, don't panic. Know the basics things about your course and all should go well.

TheyvidA, you got the visa successful email before you finally linked your evisa right? I know you said you started the process before you got decision email but couldn't proceed because u didn't have your passport.
My question is, by the time you got your passport, you already got the decision email, right?

This may be because you need to finish linking your eVisa to your account.

That means you've not linked it. And you said you've submitted the linking. Because if you did you will first get this mail in this image here, then get another mail telling you to view it. To link it, check my previous procedure

Create a ukvi account and see if you have the 'Link your e-visa' tab. Your visa has been approved

Yes it has been linked. Click on the link, you will see it alongside your details. Generate your share code too when you sign in. And as regards this situation of not getting decision mail when in reality, a decision has been made is funny to me sha. Reasons why i advised people to create a ukvi account and see if they will see the 'Link your e-visa' tab. If it's there, that means your visa has been approved. If your visa hasn't been approved, the link e-visa tab will not be there.

You used the ukvi immigration app? And did you get a mail that you've submitted? If yes, you'd have to wait for the second mail

I haven't received a confirmation mail, but I received a mail that my linking was successful.

If you have linked your e-visa and you have been able to view it and generated your share code. It is successful

Thanks for the well detailed guide. I eventually linked up since yesterday around 5pm using another iPhone 13 pro. It went successfully but I'm yet to get confirmation that the evisa have been linked.

Well, i have seen one or two people who used the ukvi app complain about the delay in getting a confirmation mail as regards e-visa linking. So far you got a mail that it was submitted, you will have to wait for the second mail that will tell you to view the e-visa. The second mail is the confirmation you need that it is now linked

Please, don't wait for this. I also experienced this, got my decision via mail and the tracker was still saying they have not made a decision. Go and collect your passport, link your e-visa and move on

I linked mine without getting the approval email first. It says "we cannot show proof of your status"

And you're sure you linked it? Did you submit it and got a mail that you've submitted?

Did paid email on Friday, they said a decision has been made. Didn't trust it and called today and they said same thing...

If you have the 'Link your e-visa' page when you sign in, from my own experience, it has been approved. Go ahead with your linking. Or you can wait if you're not sure.

Anyone who have linked up his/her evisa should please suggest phone that can work for scanning the chip on Nigerian passport. I have used iPhone 13 pro but still didn't work. Any phone recommendations pls. Or if there is any guide, I will appreciate.

So, for those who want to link their passport. Don't bother to use the ukvi app. Didn't even use it as i was unable to even download the app on my phone.

To link your passport, when you sign in to your ukvi account and you want to link, After asking you if you have iPhone 7 and Android 7 upward, it will ask if your phone has "NFC", just click No. It will tell you to use the alternative method. It will display the instructions, scroll to the end of the instructions and click continue, just snap your passport and make sure your passport datapage picture is clear and all your details are showing. Once you do that and it tells you it met the requirements, it will tell you to scan your face, just make sure you're in a well lit place, when scanning, it will display different colors, don't be scared. It's part of the process. Then it will tell you to upload a picture of your self. Once all these are done, it will tell you to move to the next part.

From the time i submitted my linking application, it didn't take me 15 minutes before i got a mail that it has been linked. So, yall shouldn't waste your time using the app.

Yep. I collected my passport today and i have linked my passport. It didn't take me 15 minutes before i got a mail that the linking has been approved

unfortunately there are no skip options, would have gone passed that stage ,thats where its soo confusing bruh

Nope, enter your phone number with the country code just like the example in the picture you posted and click send code. They won't send it, but under that same page, you can continue without sending code to your phone number. Just choose email whenever you want to use code

Put your number and skip it. The code may not come. Just use thr email option

To those who have collected their passport back from Vfs(Standard application), how long did it take before you got a mail to come pick your passport after you got your visa approval. Asking this because, someone who got visa approval on Monday is yet to get any information as regards passport collection till now

Seems they've started attending to people who did biometrics on the 21st of August. My application has been approved after i saw people saying they saw empty Nsf. I called them yesterday though. Today makes it 3 weeks i did my biometrics. Goodluck to everyone expecting their visas

Maybe your account creation didn't go through. After creating the account, you will get a mail that your account creation is successful. Then go back and sign in. Hope you used your passport details?

Just Google Ukvi account creation, it will pop up then follow the instructions. And i am the main applicant

Thanks! This is what it shows and after clicking passport and input other info it shows ID verification in progress and that’s where I need to upload datapage of my passport and the chip. Also, someone suggested I should higher iPhone because I’m using iPhone 8 with iOS version 16.7

After signing in, was this the first page that displayed? And on clicking start, it displayed the second pic i sent abi? Asking because am yet to receive any mail as far as my decision is concerned but i went on to create an account and it's showing this link page. I it's the same as yours, that means mine has been approved

one more question please. The coat of arm is at the back of passport. I have been placing camera at the front page of the passport where they chip is located.

Yes, the coat of arm is at the back and thats where the chip is. Place it there and slowly move your phone around the coat of arm. It will capture. And quick one, when you created your ukvi account and signed in, what was the first thing you saw, was is the link e-visa to account and the start page?

Good evening, please guys I need help linking my evisa. I’m stuck at Id verification stage. I was able to scan my datapage but when it gets to next stage for passport chip I can’t proceed because I don’t know why it’s not reading it or is there a way I must placed it? i have been locked out for 24hrs on the app. Somebody should put me through because I have to wait till 24 hrs before I can have access it the page again.

Check youtube videos on how to link your passport. If you're using an iPhone, your nfc is around your camera. Make sure you put it on your passport. If you're using an android, it is at the center of the back of your phone. Just make sure it touches the passport(where the coat of arm is). Youtube is your sure bet

So, i just did something now based on one of the comments in this thread. I created an account on Ukvi and on signing in, i saw the 'Link your e-visa to your account'. Clicked on it and it proceeded to link. Had to stop because i don't have my passport here. I have not gotten any mail yet as regards approval but i feel my application has been approved. Did my biometrics on the 21st of August. Maybe yall should try it and drop feedback here

Two people just got theirs some minutes ago. One did biometrics at ikeja and the other at Abuja. Both did their biometrics on the 22nd of August

Did anyone do their biometrics on the 21st and gotten any decision? The only time i got any mail was when my application was submitted and since then it has been silence
