The video was clear enough, the Presidential Guard Brigade only played the tune of the song while the judges stood up to welcome the President to the podium. None of the judges sang along. This is a standard protocol whereby the President has the prerogative to determine what song would usher him on stage. Dear Mr. Secretary,

I write to you with a heavy heart and in deep anguish over the unfolding tragedy in Nigeria. Nigeria stands at the precipice of being completely overrun by terrorist jihadist forces. The situation has deteriorated to such an extent that urgent and decisive intervention is the only hope of preventing Nigeria from becoming a captured state.

At present, it is estimated that nearly 60% of Northern Nigeria is under the control of these terrorists. Their advance is relentless, and they are speedily invading southwards through the southwestern axis of Kogi and Kwara States. Within just the past week, 25 innocent schoolgirls have been abducted, a Brigadier General has been brutally killed, and more territories have fallen into enemy hands.

The Nigerian military, though courageous, is overwhelmed and stretched beyond capacity. Traditional, Religious, and Political leaders are quietly fleeing , leaving communities defenseless and vulnerable. The social fabric of our nation is unraveling, and the fear of annihilation grips millions of citizens.

Mr. Secretary, I appeal to your conscience and compassion. The United States has long stood as a beacon of hope and defender of freedom. Today, Nigeria desperately needs that hope. We implore you to act with urgency and speed, to mobilize support and intervention that can rescue our people before we are vanquished.

Time is of the essence. Every passing day brings new atrocities, more abductions, and further territorial losses. The survival of Nigeria as a sovereign nation hangs in the balance.

I trust in your humanity and in the enduring partnership between our nations. May your intervention bring relief, restore peace, and preserve the dignity of millions of Nigerians who now cry out for help.
