PhonesRe: Is It Just Me Or Are Phone Brands Doing Better These Days?! by Thomasdike: 4:26pm On Oct 05, 2025
Adeyemisunday:
Actually, this is where the listened to users because we don't want features; we want endurance. 6000mAh and fast charging isn't hype, it's just pure, practical freedom that saves real-world stress.
Hmmm.... I love this perspective 😍

Any phone that can handle a couple of accidental drops nowadays isn't worth buying
At least they should be drop and water resistant

StellaGirlie:
Honestly, a phone that’s water-resistant and drop-tested should be the standard by now. We’re in 2025; durability shouldn’t be a luxury feature anymore.
I agree with this.

very true o, you start hearing the phone repairer saying the cost of repairs will be high because it's difficult to open the phone
Some would even cut it anyhow
PhonesRe: Is It Just Me Or Are Phone Brands Doing Better These Days?! by Thomasdike: 1:06am On Sep 27, 2025
You took the battery issue personal, and so did the brands! That shift from 'I must carry a power bank' to 'I forgot my charger and I'm fine' is probably the biggest quality-of-life upgrade in years. I think this is where they truly listened to users.
PhonesRe: My Review On Realmec71 by Thomasdike: 1:05am On Sep 27, 2025
Ultimately, the C71 is a good reminder that the "best" phone isn't always the one with the fastest processor or the fanciest camera. Sometimes, it's the one that simply works when you need it to, no matter what.
PhonesRe: Why Are Phone Repairs In Nigeria Almost More Expensive Than Buying New? by Thomasdike: 6:13pm On Sep 21, 2025
I feel like manufacturers are part of the problem. Phones today are glued shut and require proprietary tools, making it impossible for the average person to do a simple fix. This is a deliberate strategy to force us to buy new phones. They talk about sustainability, but they are the biggest culprits of electronic waste. In a country like Nigeria where affordability is a huge factor, this practice is particularly cruel. I'd love to see a "right to repair" law implemented here.

The Nigerian smartphone market is highly competitive, with Transsion dominating the budget segment. However, Xiaomi and realme are giving them a run for their money with innovative features and competitive pricing.

It's so durable. Armoshell is different from the regular build because this one is protecting the entire phone not just the screen.
