Tazan Foundation Donates Educational Materials To Champion Group of School

It was a moment of joy for staff and students of Champions Group of Schools, Eika Adagu, in Okehi Local Government Area of Kogi State, as Tazan Saahibfatiu Onimisi Foundation doled out eduacational materials to the school.

Tazan Saahibfatiu Onimisi Foundation, a non-governmental organisation, NGO, as part of efforts to improve educational standard in the society, recently visited the school and donated educational materials worth thousands of naira.

Earlier, the founder of the Foundation, Tazan Saahibfatiu Onimisi, disclosed that the gesture was one of the sole mandate of his foundation in ensuring the less privilege get access to quality education and also give the vulnerable in the society a sense of belonging.

He further stressed that the exercise was part of his foundations effort to advance learning in core rural communities in the state.

He said the gesture was a way of complimenting government’s efforts in education in the state.

Tazan told beneficiaries not to allow the fact that their school is located in a rural area affect their aspirations in life.

“If you, students, of Champions Group of school should study well and grow through sound parental care, the sky will not only be your limit but your stepping stone to greatness,” he said.

He urged the beneficiaries to make judicious use of the materials for self improvement, as he promised that his foundation will not relent.I
In his opening remark, the proprietor of the school, Mr. Omeiza Ekundayo Philip while expressing his excitement towards the items donated promised his staff will judicious put the educational materials to best use.

While thanking the donor for the benevolence, he lamented that schools in rural areas suffer so much neglect. He however said the gesture would improve educational standard of the community dwellers.

He added that the school for a while has been in shortage of educational materials and equipment, while lauding Tazan Foundation for putting smiles on the face of the staff and student of the school.

Staff of the school who spoke at the event noted that the educational materials donated will avail them and the student more texts and equipment to ease teaching and impacting knowledge.

Hon. Tarzan Foundation, NIMSA Donate Medical Kits To PHC In Okene, it is Determined to improve on its Corporate Spacial, Responsibilities particularly in the health sector, status of the needy and less privileged across Ebira land and the Nation at large.
The Tarzan Foundation in partnership with the Nigerian Medical Students’ Association (NIMSA) has donated free health test kits to the Primary Health Care Centre in Okene, Kogi State.

The outreach tagged “Achieving with Primary Health Care” was facilitated by the Director of Foreign Affairs and Integration, National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), United Arab Emirates, Hon. Tarzan Saahibafatiu Onimisi.

Hon. Tarzan stated that the flag off and
presentation ceremony to the Primary Health Care Center, Okene was an extension of his foundation objective in rendering humanitarian services to the people who that it would enable the less privileged to have access to several health related tests, especially when they are unable to access medical facilities for proper diagnosis and treatment. He enjoined the management of the Primary Health Centre to take ownership of the kits and ensure their proper maintenance, and urged them to make the medical consumables available to the people, especially the less privileged, when the need arises.

The North Central Regional Coordinator of Nigerian Medical Students’ Association (NIMSA), Elukpo Jeremiah disclosed that the kits distributed comprised of First aid boxes, essential drugs, stethoscopes, sphygmomanometer, testing materials (Blood sugar, urinalysis, HIV, Malaria, Typhoid, blood group, genotype), toiletries, sanitary pads, condoms, Foodstuff and Souvenirs,
adding that the target for the association is to visit at least 2 Primary Healthcare Centers and 2 Orphanage homes in each of the LG in the North Central Region.

While thanking the Tarzan Foundation for making the project a reality, he disclosed that the foundation will carefully monitor and ensure proper handling and distribution of the items in order to serve the common purpose of its provision.

The Primary Health Care management, Director of Local Government, Okene LGA, Alhaji Sadiq Ademoh Adangara expressed appreciation to the foundation and Medical Students Association for their support, promising that the Local Government Council and the Primary Health Care Centre will put the items donated to good use.
