Go and check again. He plays CM for both teams with much freedom. He used to play as RAM or Cam for Belgium until he started to play CM for Manchester City, then Martinez came to Belgium and gave him the same role and started the 3-4-3/3-4-2-1.

How do you think KDB would fit into the current Chelsea team? Who would he displace and what would he offer? Lampard is coach.

Guardiola once mentioned that he doesn't think KDB is a midfield controller like Xavi or a dribbler-passer like Iniesta, and I think I get what he means.

KDB doesn't play the number 10 role for city, maybe because he's not a skillful midget type of player.

Playing up front at number 10 role may hamper his effectiveness as space is a lot more congested in the opposition box.

He has been starting in a deep position for city for at least 3 year's now, and I think he even announced that he was a DM a few years ago.
