Yes inter is d prefix and al is d suffix bt doesn't mean that one would just pick d root word and stress,mayb its to test d student because if I've not being taught too I will apply that ur formular and fall 4 d trap.its been long and I even hav d formular 4 it.guy why cant u just be a gentleman, and check ur dictionary.... I am with mine(3 different editions because of u)... Forget abt formular u saw 4rm textbook coz they are realiable!) am not commenting concerning dis trite of a thing again.. PS.. But morphological study of international(by me) shows thus: inter(prefix, meaning 4rm one 2 another) NAtion(d root word there, u kn it meaning) al(suffix,meaning connected with or process of)... 4rm d foregone, it's obvious dat inter and al are both affixation, nation is d bare/root word... It possess d primary stress 4rm d portmanteau word_in,terNA'tional... Ur response? |
