If you read that his post and still believe he's tribalistic then you are probably guilty of tribalism as well. It is possible that your choice of fave was also influenced by tribe.

Being a good artist, his fanbase will keep increasing, both nationally and internationally.
When Laycon drops an LP, which for sure will be quality, and being a strategic person he will have some songs that many people will relate with, this is sure going to get him a lot of fans.

I am Yoruba, and I also supported Seyi last year, and now I support Laycon.

Yet, my favorite novelist was an Igboman: the late Cyprian Ekwensi. My second favorite novelist was also Igbo: the late Chukwuemeka Ike.

My favorite poet was Igbo: Christopher Okigbo.

In short, there is no Yoruba novelist that I like.

I think of my choice of Seyi and Laycon as nothing but mere coincidence.
