Okay so my device just came in but this is exactly what I was confused about. Attached herein is a pic of how the gen inlet/socket is wired.

So how do i link it up and still be able to use gen when solar not in use? Since the socket is different, is there a way to have a square adapter (matching the R2 Pro) and still have that gen adapter at the same time from that same wiring so that when I changeover to gen all I need do is switch by simply swapping adapter when necessary?
You can find an electrician or so to help you change tye socket on the gen to similar one on the River 2 pro
After that, just change the plug on the wire to suit both.

That way , you wil plug into whichevr u want to use per time
Be it R2 pro or generator

Thanks guys for this wonderful thread. Not done reading but learned a lot so far.

This post by twosquare really cleared my doubts about certain things but one question I still have is about the socket inlet type.

The generator adapter I’m used to and actually have is the type attached here in.

Not quite sure what type of socket the EcoFlow River 2 Pro comes with by default or if it is different from the standard, is there some sort of converter?

Please, any clarification on this would be appreciated. Thanks again

Just cut this plug away
And attach a normal plug to it
That's all

You almost got what I was asking. I plan to buy the Delta 2 before the end of the month to take advantage of the Jumia Tech Week promo. However, I won’t be able to use solar panels with it because there's no space for them where I live. So, my plan is to use the grid to charge it whenever there is power.

The reason I asked this question is that I don't want to waste money hiring an electrician to install another changeover switch for the power station. Instead, I want to use the one for my generator to power the entire house. That way, once I switch over to the power station, all the sockets and lights in the house will automatically be powered by it.

My concern is whether forgetting to unplug the charger before switching over would harm the power station. I believe that could create a power loop and cause damage.

What I’m now considering is installing a separate socket that only works with the grid to avoid this mistake. However, that would still require an electrician, which I was trying to avoid.
Safer to install a separate socket
That way u don't need to run heketa seketas, when Nepa bring light

Do you want to blow the house and turn it into fireworks?

While will you want to use it when grid light is available?

Except it is not connected to the mains, but not all Ecoflow allow pass-through.
The way mine was connected
It allows me to use it both ways, its connected to the mains
I can use it even when there is light (when charging it to power the while house) or wen there is no light
All I need to do is just flip a switch
Usually while using it to power the house , light comes occasionally

I just switch to Nepa and allow it to rest.

Is D2 max battery compatible with ordinary D2 huh

A 3 bedroom will comfortably run on D2 max with extra battery and two 600+ watts plus panels considering use of minimal every saving appliances huh

I am about advising someone to go for it
I think it's not about the size of the house or room
It based on their energy consumption

What appliances are they going to use

Just like u mentioned
Using energy saving appliances will help alot

Nice input from jinko. What and what were you running pulling out that 300w as output?
I actually experimented
I put Freezer and fridge on it in the morning at 6am with 100% watching the solar input

Eventually the D2 had to shut down at 10% (based on my setting) because there wasn't enough solar input till about 11/12noon

Sure, the max input is 500w. It will just ignore the rest or restrict it. Nothing to fear at all. Oh....okay. Max I have obtained on mine was 474w. Just wanted to know the best angle for my 555. That's it.
Halleluyah
Guess my fear was needless

1) Scared of what?

2) What is the placement of your panel to get such output?
I thought solar charging for D2 is max at 500w

It was placed by one solar guy

Monitored my 590w Solar panel yesterday
Máx was 500/501w
Steady state was 250-400w

I was initially scared, but it didn't last at 500w, it just keeps flunctuating

PhonesRe: I Bought This Powerbank For 1.2 Million Naira PHOTOS by thuao(m): 6:46pm On Mar 10, 2025
Finally today
I got all the 2 cables needed and I connected the solar panel 590w
However by the time we finished, it was about raining , infact rain started about 15mins after the installation.
So it could only register 26watts.

I will watch it tomorrow to see how it performs

I use the Delta 2. When you increase the charging speed, the fans will come on fully...with one side all blowing (let's say left) and the other side of the unit being normal. I don't think there is anything wrong. The higher the charging speed, the faster the fan will work to help cool the unit.

Getting full in less than 2 hours is normal. In fact, Delta 2 full AC charging speed is 1200W, and it will be full in 56 mins. Just prioritise battery health. I only use the fast charge in emergency when I am sure that light may not be that available for the day again.

That's it.
I think optimized charging is the best
It takes as much as it needs

You can only use below the rated 1800W power of the D2
Thank you for the reply
I am definitely not putting anything more than 500w on it

But what does the bypass mean.

So I eventually connected the D2 to power the whole house

The issue now is that, I wanted a load separación, so the most sockets in the kitchen will not be on the D2, but on Nepa,
However, the way the house was wired make it almost imposible as the kitchen and parlor on the same phase or so
Meaning I can separate the kitchen power from the D2 without affetcting parlor as well.

But I saw that while, charging with AC/Nepa and using the D2, that the device has a bypass capacity , that allows power from mains to go to the house directly, bypassing the D2.

Pls I need exact info on this

Does it mean, when there is light, I can use anything, since the light will bypass the D2.
