Does this imply that bandits, including groups like Boko Haram, consume alcoholic drinks? If the concern were drug abuse, that would be more understandable, as past arrests and interviews have shown links between certain drugs and criminal activities.

As for suicide, I do not believe that this alone is sufficient reason to ban a particular alcoholic beverage. If that was the case, then all alcoholic drinks would need to be banned, because an addict does not discriminate when seeking alcohol.

That is my humble opinion.
