Yes I left the battery head unplugged even when I traveled for a while week. I've never removed the battery head since I bought the new battery. Conner44: Wow! And you leave the head plugged in overnight?
Then it must have been an old worn out battery you were managing before and it had reached the end of its service life. Lucky you
Enjoy you ride and new battery. Remember not to use it to slam gbedu or recharge phone while the engine isn't running to prolong it's life. |

Which tech skill can one learn pls 1Alex: I am in the same shoes. My colleagues are studying further, gathering different certificates here and there, but to me, when you look at the situation of this country, those certificates will lead to nowhere and that makes them a waste of time and money.
Therefore, I started early to prepare for retirement by learning tech skills that I can continue to do and get paid even at 90 years old as long as one can still operate a computer. |

Three weeks now my new battery is still working fine with no drains... Conner44: This your new battery will still die on you like the former one. It is currently dying slowly. I suggest you keep on unplugging your negative battery terminal every time you park it for long until you sort out the drainage issue so as to save yourself spending double on batteries within a month. |

Conner44: Thanks I'll look for a rewire that uses voltmeter to check. Thanks The bolded above is exactly what I feel happened before.
He must have taken his car somewhere to perform a repair and that was when the battery drain began but due to his battery still being strong it must have taken a while before it's weakness started being apparent (1 or 2 weeks) hence his reason for saying there was no prior job performed on his car to cause the battery drain.
If he pit in a new battery today, it would take at most a week plus before it starts dying on him again overnight. In the meantime he will feel his problems have gone away.
I hope he does not learn the hard way. |

I didn't do any work on it.
I later went to the rewire yesterday and it was discovered that the battery is getting weak. So I bought a new battery and the car has been working fine since then without battery drains.

Okay. Tell us the last issue (problem) you had fixed on your vehicle before the issue arose.
Apart from regular oil or brake pad replacements.[/quote] |

No job was done on it Conner44: What was the last job performed on your vehicle before you started experiencing the overnight battery drainage?
New radio? Refurbished central locking unit? Etc an electrical job not performed well is your issue because battery drains don't just start without a catalyst.
And the catalyst is usually any job done with wrong wiring specifications |

My rewire in Ibadan is kazeem. Pls recommend anyone who has the multimeter in Ibadan so I can check with him. Thanks Namzy: You have a parasitic drain. Get a multimeter that measures at least 10 amps and watch videos on how to pull fuses till you get below 0.05amps from the multimeter and trace what the fuse supplies in your car. It's fun and I did mine in less than 30 mins. |

My Camry Toyota 2002 doesn't climb hills and I've changed the knock sensor. Rewire said I should change brain box bc it's not communicating well with the sensor after scanning.
Mechanic said the car is fitted with 1az engine that I should change to 2az engine for it to be moving well.
Pls Toyota experts help me o. |
