You can use it, madam. Lots of students are studying in Canada with Mpower loans. In your submission to IRCC, discuss the importance of the program to your ambition in Nigeria, the job opportunities, and whether acquiring such knowledge and skills in the proposed program can lead to a promotion. Your goal is to convince the VO that the program is worth the expense. [Thank you for your response. Please can I send you a massage?] |
The report on Canada website says it starts from 2025/2026 academic session. But most people are saying it starts in January. Thanks bro, but are we supposed to pay for it? My school started calling some people saying we are paying for PAL. Which kind thing is this oo |
Good everyone. Is it true that masters students will need PAL from January 2025 to apply for Visa? |
My sister is not easy oo! May God answer us that are remaining. As in enh! I said it’s not me that will stay in this T-pain country 😂
|
PPR ALERT! Hello all, thanks for all the information you guys drop here, it calmed me down while I was waiting for my visa approval mail. I applied for study permit on the 31st of October, Biometrics updated same day ( I have a valid biometrics) Medicals passed - 18th of November, PPR letter dropped same 18th of November. SOWP was also approved for my spouse same day. We are a family of 4. Our toddler daughters are American citizens so they didn’t need a visa, but we included proof of funds for a family of 4. School is resuming in January 2025. We also have a valid Canadian visit visa that we got last year, we took a trip to Canada in May this year and spent 5 weeks, we came back and started the school application process. All thanks to God. I pray for those still waiting to get a positive result soonest 🙏🏼 Congratulations 🎉🎉 |
You arrived in Canada last year on an SOWP (Spouse Open Work Permit) with your two kids after allegedly working for FAAN for 15 years. Now you are claiming to be a Canadian citizen . This is an open forum, and such exaggerated claims are unnecessary. Nobody is claiming superiority here; we are all here to learn and educate one another. There is no need for these bogus claims to validate your points—they make no sense and only detract from meaningful discussion. Ewooooooo 🙆🙆 |
PPR alert!!! My BVL dropped 24 hours before my PPR came. My application timeline was 13 weeks. There was no update on the New portal tracker and the tracker account I registered on. Even when my BVL dropped before the PPR. Nothing changed on the tracker. IRCC will humble you, but trust in Jesus, he's forever faithful and merciful. I'm a first time applicant and I did my application process myself. I used the New portal. My POF documents alone was almost 100 pages. SOP documents was like 30 pages and I compressed it to 1.8mb. I used almost a month to write my SOP, because I needed to sell myself, not just as a mere student, but as someone who will make valuable contributions to the Canadian economy with my professional skills. A total of 45k CAD was my budget for this application. Documents used: 1. GIC (20,650) 2. First semester tuition receipt (11k CAD) 3. Tuition balance in my domiciliary account(8k CAD) 4. Flight and ancillary expenses of 5k CAD. 5. 15 months payslips and invoices from previous employer to my current employer and side gigs. Bureau de Change deposit slips. 6. Housing deed of gift which was legalized by the court. 7. Promotion letters (I had like 3 promotions in a year and 5 payrise when I worked for some Nigerian companies). Reference letter as a volunteer for an NGO. 8. My sponsor notorized the sponsorship letter. He also sent the full money I needed to my account. He gave me a copy of his residency permit, passport data page, investment account statement, employment letter and work permit, payslips for a year and his most recent picture. 9. I used my parents as home ties. I hardly take pictures of myself and I had no recent picture with my family, so I used family pictures of when I was a teenager and I added a recent family picture which I wasn't in. I have a registered business which has never been operational since it was registered almost 2 years ago. I explained the reason my course program would give me the required skill needed in running the business when I return to Nigeria (I didn't submit a tax clearance because the business has never operated. But I submitted the CAC and shareholder documents). 10. Previous study visa rejection letter from another country's embassy. The admission letter of the school that admitted me (Still the same study program as in Canada. My study program is on the list of the programs Canada wants and would give PGWP for). The full tuition receipt I paid and the tuition refund receipt. 11. I'm in tech and I have been in the same job role for almost a decade. (I have worked remotely for companies in the top 10 tech countries in the world list). As a remote worker in Nigeria, you need to have multiple receiving accounts because of different clients and employers would give you their best option to send your money. I had 4 different foreign receiving accounts. I explained each and every transactions I got in them (I had lump sum transfers) and why I had 4 different receiving accounts and their pros. Even when I realized that I didn't attach some lump sum receipts to my POF documents 2 months after my application, I sent it with Webform and explained it. 12. My SOP explanation letter alone was almost 10 pages. I was truthful with my application. Where I had an error, I stated it and I showed proof on how the error came about. 13. I did upfront medical at Q-life because it was cheaper than IOM a week before I submitted my application. This whole Canada thing was orchestrated and led by God, and all the glory, honor, and thanks belongs to him. I acknowledge the effort of and I thank @Zubizareta and @JMG (Just Move Global), they patiently answered my questions on Whatsapp for free when I started this journey. Special thanks to others who answered my questions on Nairaland. To others waiting, it's just a matter of time for your own testimony too in Jesus name. At a time I got tired of waiting. My admission process took over 2 months. My visa application process took over 3 months. Never stop praying and never stop trusting God. Please, be truthful in your application. If you are stuck and need help with your application, you can shoot me a mail and I'll try my best to reply to them. Ah! Finally God has done it for you. You have been so helpful in this group by answering many of our questions. Congratulations to you. I tap into this testimony, I will share mine too soon. |
That's a major pillar of credibility for WES evaluations. Yes, it's necessary! Okay. Thank you. |
Hi Frank2zee, The World Education Services (WES) evaluation process could be overwhelming when you don't know your way around it. The truth is, the process itself is straightforward, but the back-and-forth between WES and Nigerian schools is what makes it a cumbersome experience for some students. I have broken the steps into a three-way operation to make it easier for you: On Your Part Step 1: Create an Account A. Visit (https://www.wes.org/) and create a profile. B. Fill out the forms, providing: I. Profile details II. Education history III. Recipient information Step 2: Choose Evaluation Type & Delivery Mode A. Select "Education" and then "Graduate Admission" as your evaluation type. B. Choose delivery options: I. Standard Delivery ($12) II. International Courier ($81) Step 3: Review & Confirm Application 1. Verify the accuracy of your inputs and selections. 2. Confirm your name and date of birth. 3. Agree to WES' Terms and Conditions. Step 4: Pay Evaluation Fees A. Select your evaluation option: I. Course-by-Course with ICAP ($225) - I often recommend this option for those applying to multiple schools. II. WES Basic ($176) After payment, proceed to "My Account" and upload: A. Academic transcripts (Official or Unofficial) B. Degree certificates (Official or Unofficial) C. Translations (if applicable) D. Supporting documents (if applicable) On Your Alma Mater's Part - This is where the issue always lies - unwarranted delays, extortions, inconsistent grades, you name it. But I hope you don't go through such a hurdle. Step 5: Your school should send: 1. Your official academic transcripts directly. 2. A copy of your degree certificates and translations (if applicable). 3. Enclose everything in a single sealed and stamped brown envelope before it's dispatched to WES. (They can also send your documents electronically if they have an existing digital transmission agreement with WES.) On WES' Part Step 6: WES Review & Verification 1. Document review and verification. 2. They might request for additional documents or confirmation (if necessary). Step 7: Evaluation Reports 1. WES sends the report to your mailing address and that of your proposed institutions. Key Notes Timeline: Depends on the complexity of the overall evaluation process, but it typically takes 6-12 weeks. Your total fees would depend on your choice of evaluation and delivery. I hope this helps, and best of luck with your assessment. [Wow! Thank you for this detailed explanation , but is Alma mater section compulsory or optional ? |
If you really access this particular loan, then I will need your guideline I sent you PM. Does Mpower sponsor in Canada? Only aware for USA schools. Mpower cover for USA and Canada |
Guys and ladies , Is Canada really worth it going by this various restrictions and issues in that country currently ? Ma'am what if someone left school for long? Is there a way to overcome their restrictions based on this loan organisation. Tried to register but was told ineligible because of how long my last study was. Can you give more information on how to access this loan? Or should message you for personal clarification and help? Thanks in anticipation of your clarification and assistance. I left school 12yrs ago, and I was still able to access the loan, how many yrs is yours? At least you have been working. Check mpower. |
No one is over pushing negatives. They're telling us the reality on ground and the challenges students and new permanent residents are facing with the economy. Because of one out of ten people is lucky and has a different experience, it doesn't mean that things are okay for the remaining nine. Plan your study visa with enough funds for a year to avoid stories that touch. It is well, thank you. |
Don’t discourage people, 70% of international student pay 50-100% of fees working here. The fees are extremely high to begin with. How many people have that sitting in their account. If you have the money fine but all one need to study abroad is the will not even money… God bless you sir, this is the kind of word we need here. In as much as I know that Canada is not really what it was before, some people are over pushing the negative sides of it more than the positive. No matter what anyone says, it will not dissuade determined person |
Bobomaigida:Also, I think the VO made a mistake there. They are family of four but he put five, if am not mistaken, applicant, spouse and two minors. |
My nuclear family, grandmother and my workplace. Please dear, did you submit any letter from your work place?(Recommendation letter) |
@MarksmanD and other well wishers, I am happy to share the good news that my PPR letter landed early this morning. I submitted all the requested additional documents with a truthful LOE to IRCC, and the caring Lord answered my prayer. Alhamdulillah, all glory to Him. I will be back soon with lessons learned. Thank you all and I wish the hopefuls the best of luck. Please advise on the most effective and fast option for submitting my passport for stamping. Congratulations to you. |

If anyone here know about the group and it's genuine, should please tell me oo.🤣 awoof dey sweet, but e no go porch my belly o🤣🤣 |

Honestly bro, am unable to access the mail. When I checked your profile, I saw that you had sent me mail, but I can't see it. |
Congratulations, but it does not work like this for everyone, I have read of someone who entered through Montreal and his entry was not easy, there have been people who went through YYZ and it was smooth. Let us just hope for the best. Please sir, can I connect with you? I have a bordering issue to clarify. My email is comfortomini39@gmail.com. Thanks. |
[quote author=zubizareta Please bro, how can I reach you? |
You can change careers since you have some certifications and work experience. But please ensure that your work experience in your new area of interest is about 2 years to put up a convincing SOP during your visa application. Alright, thank you once again. Will VO want to see a related letter from my previous work or I should just explain without any documents attached? |
Time of God, writing an SOP is huge undertaking, whilst some persons can help you write one, it good you have draft first, that can be built on. Thank you so much bro, am happy that I have a response from you people. I have already drafted my SOP. But the question I asked was, since I am changing career, should I attach my resignation letter of the previous work to the SOP or what documents should I attach again please? |
