Am going to make this post short and straight to the point. YouTube is the world's largest repository of video file. Whatever music video you are looking for, chances are you will find it on YouTube. YouTube does not give you the option to download videos, you can only stream. This becomes a problem when you don't have data available on your phone.

One of the problems people face is that other people can't keep secrets. Yes, secrets! With my experience as a network engineer for one of the leading internet service providers in Nigeria, I have found out that one of the secrets that people often let out is wifi passwords. You give a colleague a wifi password on trust, he gives it to his crush who works in the same company on trust, and she in turn gives it to another of her colleagues who gives it to the driver who gives it to the chef who gives it to the security guard... It keeps going on and on until the company starts experiencing a very slow network.
So what do you do? Simple! You change the wifi password, and on it goes again. Now you will say
"what if i just log a few people who need internet on there system to work in without letting them know the password?" Just go to their systems and log them in. From Facebook live to celebrities, then to iphone users, and now it is coming to android users. Facebook says the rollout for live streaming on Android will begin next week in the United States, with other countries to follow. The same feature is already available on iPhone, and Android users can already tune into those streams. But until now, Android users haven’t been able to create their own live video.

Once the feature arrives, Android users can start a Facebook Live broadcast by tapping the Status button in the main Facebook app for Android, then looking for “Live Video” under the “What’s on your mind?” heading. As with any status update, you can decide whether the live feed is available to friends, friends of friends, the public, or limited groups.
While broadcasting, users can post comments in real-time. Facebook also offers a subscribe button to users get notified when new broadcasts begin. Keep in mind that recordings of the broadcast are automatically saved to your Timeline unless you go back and delete them.

So far, Facebook hasn’t said whether it will bring live streaming capabilities to its desktop website or Windows apps.

Worse is that they come up with all manner of subscriptions like to get accounting, medical, engineering tips, text bla bla bla to 123; politics is a dirty game, to know how dirty your LGA politics is, text LGAPOL to 123. Wetin!!! When they find out your are not falling for their tricks, they go behind your back to activate it for you. Then when you call them to deactivate these services they lie to you that its been deactivated whereas they did not.

Well, everyday for the thief, today is for the house owner. To deactivate all these useless ring back tones simply dial *123*5*1# and reply with the number "2" then enter the serial number corresponding to your active subscription and enter the number "1". Shikina!!!
Repeat the steps for multiple subscriptions. The economy is not smiling at all, so no room for unhealthy deductions.

Hey guys, forget about everything you have read on how to make CCP work, today I’m going to show you all you need to do to have your CCP working well. I must say that CCP is one of the few things Cisco didn’t do well. Every tech blog you log unto, people have one or two problems concerning CCP to write about. Well, I have this solution based on personal experience. Without much talk, here we go.

Follow these commandments and your CCP will work for you. What you need: Windows 7, CCP version 2.7(download here), java 6.11.1 (32 bit, download here), internet explorer version 8, and adobe flash player latest version preferably( download here).
If your operating system is 8 or later version, then install windows 7 on a virtual machine and the rest software on the windows7 virtual PC.
Lunch internet explorer, click on tools, click on compatibility view and add the IP address 127.0.0.1 and click on close. After that, right click on the CCP icon on the desktop and click on run as administrator. That’s all.
Note that for you to connect to your router via CCP, you must have configured username and password on the router, an IP address for at least one interface (the interface you are connected to), https, and http authentication. Here are the commands:
# ip http secure-server
#ip http au local
#username admin privilege 15 secret cisco
#interface vlan 1 (the interface depends on what you have on your router and where your cable is connected).
#Ip add 192.168.1.1 255.255.255.0
#no shut.

Command must be enter in global configuration mode.

Good service comes at a price. Etisalat will give u what u want almost every time while for glo it is 50/50. Yes their internet doesn't work 50% of the times. This award is simply based on cost of data and not quality.

You are judging based on the quality of service at your location. It may not be so for other people. Besides Etisalat coverage cant bet compared to glo's.

For those still thinking of who is the best data service provider among Naija’s four telecom companies, search no more! Globacom has been voted the king by NCC. The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), the independent national regulatory authority for the telecommunications industry in Nigeria, has rated Globacom the best network in new Internet subscription acquisition in Nigeria’s telecom industry.
Globacom had 21,896,229 internet subscribers on it network as at September ending 2015, up from 20,765,379 data subscribers in August same year. This represents an increase of 1,130,850 data subscribers within the period.
Globacom’s figure dwarfed the combined total of 716,450 new Internet subscribers who joined the three other major telecom operators in the country – MTN, Airtel and Etisalat – in September.
A break down of that figure showed that MTN recorded 423,448 new Internet users on its network. Airtel recorded 235,941 new data subscribers, while Etisalat recorded 57,061 new data subscribers joining the network.
The growth in the number of data subscribers on the Globacom network is not unconnected with various life-changing, user-friendly and pocket-friendly packages introduced.Some of the packages include the Free Tomorrow promo; Campus Booster; Bumper Data Offer, and the Twin Bash promo, which gives subscribers who recharge with N200 up to 200 MB of data worth N800, along with full value of the airtime recharged.

A new Android malware that targets your online banking credentials and can hold your device’s files hostage in exchange for ransom has been introduced. The malware, called Xbot, is not widespread yet and appears to be just targeting devices in Australia and Russia, wrote researchers with Palo Alto Networks in a blog post on Thursday.
“As the author appears to be putting considerable time and effort into making this Trojan more complex and harder to detect, it’s likely that its ability to infect users and remain hidden will only grow,” Palo Alto wrote.

It essentially allows the malware to launch a different action when someone tries to launch an application. User are unaware that they’re actually using the wrong program or function. Activity hijacking take advantage of features in Android versions prior to 5.0. Google has since developed defenses against it, so only older devices or those that have not been updated would be affected.
In one type of attack, Xbot monitors the app a user has launched. If it is a particular online banking app, Xbot intervenes and displays an interface that obscures the real app.
Xbot can also bring up an interface through WebView saying the device has been infected with CryptoLocker, a well-known ransomware program. Ransomware encrypts files and then asks for payment for the decryption key. In this case, the attackers ask for US$100 to be paid through a spoofed PayPal site.
Xbot will actually encrypt files on the device’s external storage. However, the encryption algorithm used is weak, and it would be possible to recover the files, Palo Alto wrote.
Xbot can also scrape the phone for personal data, such as contacts, SMSes and phone numbers and send the data to the attackers.

Instagram users on iOS and Android now have the ability to add up to five different accounts and switch between them. The social media app had tested the account-switching feature for Android in November and last week tested that of IOS.

Instagram users who updated to version 7.15 of the app will find an “Add Account” option in the app’s settings. Once you add a second account, you’ll be able to switch to it quickly by selecting it from a new menu at the top of your profile page. Whenever you get a push notification, you’ll also be able to see from which Instagram account.
Before this update, people could not store multiple Instagram account logins at the same time. If you wanted to switch between accounts, you had to log out of the current account and log back in under the different credentials. It seemed that Instagram really wanted people to maintain only one Instagram identity, but as the photo-sharing app became more prevalent, the need for multiple accounts also grew. People who already had a personal Instagram account perhaps wanted to start another one for their small business, or they were tasked with maintaining an Instagram profile for their company or brand.

If it's a voice call you want to block, make sure you have that number in your Contacts lists. Then go to the Phone app, select the contact you want to block, tap Block This Caller, then Block Contact. To stop them from reaching you on FaceTime, go to that app, enter their name or number, and follow the same steps. For texts, go into Messages, select the person you want to block > Details > the "Info" button on the top right > Block This Caller > Block Contact.

For Android
Go to the Phone app and select Call Settings > Call Rejection > Auto Reject List. Type in the number or search for it, select it, and you're done.
For Windows

Go to Settings and then Call+SMS Filter, accept the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy if you have not already, then switch Block Calls to On. Now go to the Phone app, hold down the number you want to block, and hit Block Number, then OK.

Technology giant, Apple, has been slammed with a $626 million fine for infringing four patents held by a Nevada-based patent licensing company. The patents covers technology used in Apple’s VPN on Demand software which dates back to 2009, its FaceTime messaging system back to 2010, and its iMessage software.

The trial follows one in 2012 in which Apple was found to infringe on Virnet X patents but managed to overturn the verdict on appeal.
On Wednesday, a jury in the Eastern District of Texas found for VirnetX and against Apple on all counts, going on to find the infringement was willful -- a legal finding that can greatly increase damages.

Facebook live streaming feature is now available to everyone in the US who owns an iphone.
To share live video, users simply tap on Update Status and then select the Live Video icon. Users can write a brief description and choose the audience they want to share with before going live.
During the broadcast, users will see the number of live viewers, the names of friends who are tuning in and a real-time stream of comments.

When users end the broadcast, it will be saved on their Timeline like any other video, which can then be deleted or kept for friends to watch later.
Also, users can discover live videos from their friends and public figures you follow right in News Feed. While watching a live video, user can tap the Subscribe button to get notified the next time the broadcast goes live.
In the coming weeks, the live video sharing feature will become available to all Facebook users across the world.
