There's a difference between challenging a decision, trying to understand a decision, & outright concluding & selling a skewed narrative. I also tried to understand the decision with questions too by the way.

MY team and I on the dispute resolution thread have watched with dismay the daily occurrences.

There have been issue of fraud, obtaining by false pretense, deception etc which has made business transactions on the Technology Market go south.
It is no news that some people have been blacklisted as a results of previous transactions that didn’t go down well.

Going forward a person/seller/NLder that is blacklisted will remain so for a period of 6 months and will need 3 persons to vouch for them before such person’s name can be taken off the blacklist.
The vouchers will act as guarantors who will attest to the integrity, character of the blacklisted person/seller/NLder.

Pls NOTE:
- The vouchers are liable if/when the person you are vouching for defaults.
- The vouchers must be known monikers and not random people or new accounts.
- If taken off the blacklist and you somehow got involved in another issue you will get blacklisted for a period of 1 year..

when doing deals with anybody,people should endeavour to speak out their terms and conditions,don't conclude that the other party already know what to do.hotldealz since this young man trusted you to transact this business with you and things has gone awry,what do u want to do to compensate him for all his efforts into this business?

This is interesting because like I said earlier, NL was attacked by cyber criminals who caused catastrophic loss of data & valuable information that have never been recovered till today. No platform is infallible. Understand that.

You're talking about autonomous power when the dispute resolution thread that holds so much data vanished without explanation or dialogue. If the mods decide to lock this section for a month or so, what can you do?

You talk about foul play as if a popular picker here, who's no longer in business now, didn't vanish with people's hard earned money & investment before popping out of the blue to sort it. Every platform has it dangers. None is infallible.

First of, as a dealhunter, the moment you choose to deal with a picker that has only a whatsapp group, you must have medicated on the risks, done your due diligence, & come to the conclusion that it's okay for you. You make it seem as if all the goods being shipped into Nigeria are from this thread.

Like I said earlier, a platform is a platform. I believe there are people who also have thier fb groups, or whatever groups that has been working for them for years. What then makes here superior? Isn't that just nothing but pure emotion lol? Talking about searching for past shipments & all that, is it only NL that has a search feature to help track back or say a catalogue? Lol

Valid point, but nobody is moving to whatsapp groups & leaving lol. There are just new pickers who prefer the whatsapp platform cos it works better for them etc.. Will you now force them to come to NL or leave, most especially some who don't even have accounts here?

This last paragraph, is what I don't like about we Nigerians ( I'm also guilty atimes sef) --- deflecting from the main discourse & trying to use emotional blackmail to make the other party look like the devil in the absence of fact & evidence to help our case. You think NL as a forum, has been a victim of an abusive & parasitic relationship over the years that we must all now "pay back" by not utilizing the power of whatsapp on the side too, in an evolving 21st century technology driven world?

Snapchat stories gave people so much, yet people embraced instagram stories without having the need to "pay back" snapchat by refusing to use/test & explore a new thing. Lol

And lastly, let it be known that I am not in anyway clamoring for an exodus, but it would be totally unfair & maybe hilarious to not expect people to [s]explore new technologies designed to make business somewhat faster & more efficient. [/s]

And fear not, no one is leaving. There are just new people who prefer the convinience & tools whatsapp now offers to businesses. Same way I believe there are people here who prefer buying from eBay than Offerup & those who have family members who ship items to them directly.

I believe whatever works for people should be respected, & not demonized, until proven otherwise maybe... It is well.
