You guys need to break everything down and understand yourself without any arguments. to me i can never compare any culture to one another, i eat rice in my home every morning never means someone living away from me should also eat rice or bean every morning as well. @Gabrywyl, So many people also support the idea of 3-5 years over here as well i have heard of people whom their was 9 good years, so its not a big deal shey, but also some do go for a shorter year due to the age or being so close and wealthy which do end up in divorce after 4-6 years of marriage.

Hey, well to my own view, I think its not a bad idea that a man is calling her woman mom or mama or whatever, all i know is that it must be that he is in a kind of good or great mood, which will make him do that, such as feeling so much excited on a particular project or something else such as getting a promotion or the wife give birth to his desired choice, and so on, and also it has to do with the act of african man and american as well, i have been able to hear many american saying hello ma'm or something like mama,

To me, mom/mama means samething
Mom---old school
MaMa---old school

So i think any one can really feel great and cool among you ma'm s if your man call you such a name. Its showing a great honour to you and also showing he loves you more than you ever thought.

@Ibkhaye, well i think every woman or lady have a choice of theirs, what you need to do is tell your man you always enjoy it when ever you are called with the name"babie mi" and i believe he will understand but i want you to know there is no problem with the word mom or mama its all about encouraging and cheering you guys, ladies or womans of these world will always be the mom or mama to guys whenever till eternity thats their position in life.
