It’s been an epic 74 days and with only two days remaining, the housemates are pumped up for what’s set to happen on Sunday.
Meanwhile, Biggie has done a fantastic job of helping them enjoy these final moments to the fullest. Today though, the onus was on Igwe Marvis to pass on the Head of House crown to another housemate who was yet to own it, of course that person was TBoss so we witnessed the uneventful coronation of Igwe TBoss for her 1-day reign.
According to Biggie’s brief, the housemates had to play a life-size game of snakes and ladder. Fun, yes! The only twist was that they all had to, at some point, share with fellow housemates good and bad decisions they had made that had kept them in the house or that they regret.
So, the rules were a bit simple. If they throw the dice and land on the bottom of a ladder, they would climb up to the top of the ladder and tell a good decision they’ve made. On the other hand, if they landed on the mouth of a snake, they would drop to the bottom and share a bad decision they’ve made.
The housemates received two guests in the House today. Former Big Brother Nigeria contestant who also happens to be the host of this edition, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu and 2011 Big Brother Africa winner, Karen Igho.

With only days left before the end of the show, Biggie completely banned any sort of campaigning for the rest of the week. It’s a decision that seemed quite harsh at first but when he asked them in today’s Diary Sessions, if they felt it jeopardised their chances, they all agreed that it didn’t phase them anymore.
Bisola said they would have been incredibly annoying to watch because all they’d be doing is campaigning, so it was probably a good call.
Marvis actually felt the ban would allow viewers to vote on merit and Debie-Rise argued that it had helped level the playing field.
Enter another twist. Biggie told everyone to put on their finest clothes and get ready to go to the Arena for their last presentantion.
They had only 40 minutes to put on their make up, suits and evening gowns before heading out and they all looked visibly nervous as they racked their brains for the perfect speech. In the end, Biggie’s call was a good one because not having time to memorise anything forced them to speak from the heart.
First up was TBoss. “I came into this House a princess and now I stand before you, a queen! I say this with humility. I am not a proud person.” She expressed her gratitude for everyone who’d “invested in her” and asked them to keep being kind and voting.
She revealed that she didn’t know why they’d saved her so many times but suggested that it was probably because they all saw every facet of her and realised that she was nothing like the first impression she often gets thanks to her “tattoos and piercings.”
Efe went up next starting with the question, “Who is Efe?” before launching into an empassioned speech where he suggested that everyone who’d overcome strife was no different from him. “Efe nah you! Efe nah that mother who deprives herself of every luxury” so her kids go to school.
“Efe nah me coz I be Nigerian and against all odds I stand with my two feet!” His eyes filled with tears for a moment as he recounted how he’d gotten farther than anyone else in his family, “The name Ejeba stands out now!” he exclaimed before pleading with people to vote.
“Bisola means ‘Born into wealth’ but that hasn’t been the case” Bisola said as she opened. She revealed that she often felt insecure and envious when people mentioned their college experiences because she never had the money to go to one.
She also explained how she made the decision to rely on the talents that she knew “could feed her” to survive depression. She acknowledged that she’d fought with many people in the House but reminded everyone that she wasn’t perfect nor was she more intelligent, gifted or beautiful than anyone else. “Yet, you’ve kept me here! Please keep up the good will.” she exclaimed as she closed off.
Marvis kept things simple reminding everyone that she’d been a fighter from the get go and had accomplished things even she thought she would never do. She begged everyone to vote for her because she was a born winner. “I’m pleading because W-I-N dey for my body!”
She thanked Big Brother for giving her this platform and reminded people that she’d kept it real all the way through. “I came here Marvis. I leave here Marvis” she said before concluding that if it weren’t for Big Brother people would have never known that name.
Debie-Rise closed things off by making the surprising revelation that she didn’t have her family’s blessing to come to the show. However, she said she stuck around because she wanted to be an example everyone that you should chase your dreams at any cost.
“Growing up I just wanted to be more. This passion that I have? I want go home and say that it was worth it in the end!” She also said she was disciplined, well mannered and empathetic which said were qualities a winner should possess.

The housemates who were last week nominated for eviction from the Big Brother Naija reality show – TBoss, Bally, Marvis and Debie-Rise – received a cumulative eleven million votes.
This was made known by host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu during Sunday’s live eviction show.
According to Ebuka;
“
The housemates got a total of 11 million votes this week alone”.
To vote for a Big Brother housemate costs N100 per attempt. Eleven million votes at N100 each amounts to N1.1bn.
Although millions of Africans across the continent tune into the show on a daily basis, only Nigerians are allowed to vote.

President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday changed a plan by which he was due to return to London this weekend for another round of medical treatment, barely two weeks after his return from a hospital there.
Instead, his doctors will be arriving on Friday to carry out further medical examination on him.
Sources at the Presidency informed SaharaReporters that the president’s advance party had already left Abuja earlier in the day by Ethiopian Airlines before they were recalled to Abuja.
Sources say the hawks within the presidency advised against taking the president abroad so soon after his seven weeks away, as that would begin to feed the rumor mill all over again about his ailment.
In a short televised address upon his return, Buhari had hinted about returning to the hospital shortly, saying there might be a need “for further follow-up within weeks.” Given the topsy-turvy political climate in the country, however, his advisers felt it was unwise to allow him to stay away for too long.
The latest developments come as pressure is mounting on the presidency to disclose how much was spent on his 49-day “medical vacation” in the United Kingdom, with Nigerians saying they have a right to know.

The naira has continued its abysmal run as it has dropped against the United States dollar to 499 on Tuesday, from 498 on Monday.
According to Reuters, this is as a result of the lingering scarcity of the greenback in the market. The local currency had hit 500/ dollar on Friday, from 498/dollar it had recorded last Thursday.
This came about one week after the naira touched 500/dollar briefly and reserved back to 498/dollar. The local currency had been stable against the greenback for about three weeks. During the early hours trading on Monday, the naira traded flat at 500/dollar on the black market before closing at 498/dollar.
The external reserves rose to one-year high at $28.2bn on February 2, the Central Bank of Nigeria data showed on Monday. On the official market, it was at 305.25/dollar, where it has been trading since last August. The CBN had last week sold $660m in three and five-month currency forwards at an auction aimed at clearing a backlog of dollar demand.
But traders said it was not enough to satisfy the market.
“Despite rising FX reserves, it’s the amount of the FX that is supplied that matters. The parallel market, by its nature, is particularly sensitive to demand-supply imbalances, and has a tendency to overshoot,” Reuters reported, quoting the Head of Africa Research at Standard Chartered Bank, Razia Khan.
“Supply of FX matters more than any other factor,” she added.
Traders said the CBN had been selling dollars on the official market to support the naira, but dollar shortages were causing the local currency to weaken on the black market.
The naira lost a third of its official value against the dollar in 2016 after the CBN scrapped its peg for the currency, allowing the naira to float on the interbank market, in a bid to alleviate dollar shortages
On the Bureau de Change segment, the naira closed at N399/dollar, while the pound sterling and euro closed at N617 and N527, respectively. Traders said that the scarcity of the greenback was far from being over. The forex exchange reserves have gained more than $2bn in 2017, rising from $25.8bn on December 30, 2016 to $28.2bn on February 2, 2017.
Economic and financial experts are divided over the outlook for the naira this year.

As many as five Nigerian banks have made an entry into the top 500 banking brands in the world.

It has been revealed that First Bank of Nigeria Limited has been named the most valuable banking brand in Nigeria in the Top 500 Banking Brands of The Banker magazine of the Financial Times and Brand Finance, London, United Kingdom.
Premium Times reports that the bank, which is also the only Nigerian bank in the top 10 banking brands in Africa, along with nine other banks from South Africa and Morroco, is being named for the sixth consecutive time.
According to a press release issued on Sunday by the Country Representative, Nigeria, The Banker magazine, Kunle Ogedengbe, First Bank leads four other Nigerian banks in the global ranking.
With $301 million brand value, First Bank ranked 357 led Guaranty Trust Bank, GTB, ranked 395 with a brand value of $258 million, and Zenith Bank 414 with a brand value of $247 million.
Access Bank followed at 476 with a brand value of $182 million and the United Bank for Africa (UBA) with a brand value of $172 million ranked 487 in the world.
While explaining the methodology of the ranking, the Editor, The Banker, Brian Caplen, said that Brand Finance employs a discounted cash flow technique to discount estimated future royalties at an appropriate rate to arrive at a net present value of a bank’s trademark and associated intellectual property.
Mr. Caplen explained that the process involved five steps which include obtaining brand-specific financial and revenue data; modelling the market to identify market demand and the position of individual banks in the context of all other market competitors.
He added further that it will also establish the royalty rate for each bank; calculate the discounted rate specific to each bank, taking account of its size, geographical presence, reputation, gearing and brand rating; and discount future royalty stream (explicit forecast and perpetuity periods) to a net present value.
Mr. Caplen disclosed that the approach is used for two reasons, noting that it is favoured by tax authorities and the courts because it calculates brand values by reference to documented third-party transactions, and it can be done based on publicly available financial information.
The deputy editor of the magazine, Joy Macknight, said on the global front, Industrial and Commercial Bank of China is number one with a brand value of $47,832 million followed by Well Fargo of the United States of America with a brand value of $41,618 million.
The remaining eight banks in the top ten are China Construction Bank, Chase (JP Morgan & Co of the USA), Bank of China, Bank of America, Agricultural Bank of China, Citibank (USA), HSBC (UK), and Satander (Spain) noted Macknight.
According to the realease, in the top 50 countries in the world, only four African countries made the list. These are South Africa (26), Nigeria (42), Egypt (46) and Morocco (47).

Below are six things Davido and his new manager must do to save his career now that they’re partners again.
1. Hire a songwriter
Now that Davido’s brand is being well received globally, it’s advisable to hire a songwriter and keep it professional. He needs to move over lines like; ‘Dele na my boy’.
2. Work more with Shizzi
The Ibadan-born producer defined Davido’s sound when he made his breakthrough in Nigerian music industry. Shizzi is the man behind his hits including ‘Skelewu’, ‘Dami Duro’, ‘Ekuro’, ‘Gobe’ and ‘Good Life’ with South African duo, Mafikizolo.
3. Revisit the SONY music deal
99 percent of Davido’s fans don’t know the packages that come with the Sony Music deal he signed last year, but they believe it’s holding him back. Davido is known for charging zero kobo for collabos with other artistes but that has also changed since he signed a recording deal with the US label.
4. Do more song features in Africa
A couple of years ago, Davido reigned in Africa and world with music collaborations with Mafikizolo to Diamond Platnumz and Uhuru. The collaborations with Meek Mill and Tinashe are classy, but the buzz wasn’t as much as what he got for the features with other African music stars. Davido now has the likes of Cassper Nyovest, Ali Kiba, Wizkid , Tekno , Yemi Alade, Patoranking and more to collaborate with.
5. Go on a tour in Africa and wrap it up in Nigeria with a concert
After releasing the Son of Mercy EP in November last year, Davido toured European cities including London, Amsterdam, and Paris where he staged a show at Bataclan – one of the scenes of the 2015 Paris attacks. It’s time to bring it home.

Following the controversies that have trailed Harrysong’s exit from his former record label, 5Star Music, it has been one beef episode to another.
°His exit from 5star Music saw him float his own imprint, Alterplate.
The past few days had however been a rough one for Harrysong and his manager who were recently re-arrest for criminal charges filed against them by aggrieved management of his ex-label.
Fast-forward, it seems the “beef” has been called off as reported by Notjustok .
In a recent post shared on Instagram by veteran Nigerian singer/entertainer, Daddy Showkey, Harrysong and Kcee were seen in a photo with Daddy Showkey with the caption:

Remember Kcee joined Harrysong on stage at the just concluded Headies awards when Harrysong won an award and he said he and Harrysong had scores to settle. Well we hope the bad blood is over moving forward.
