Wait oh!
Then what about other elected senators, governors and Reps members who have been defecting from their actual political parties to the APC without the issues of losing their seats?

"Whatever" the APC is afraid of, will surely "bite" them in 2027.

CrimePolice Raid Cult Hideout, Arrest Three In Ondo by Tinajude(op): 3:55pm On Feb 15
The Police Command in Ondo State says it has raided a suspected cultism black spot, arrested three suspects, and recovered weapons and hard drugs at the Arakale area of Akure metropolis.

The command’s spokesperson, DSP Abayomi Jimoh, disclosed this in a statement issued on Sunday, describing the operation as part of the command’s proactive policing strategy.

According to him, the command will continue its efforts to rid the state of cult-related activities and other criminal elements.

Jimoh said the suspects were arrested on February 10 at about 11 pm by a team from the command’s Tactical Intelligence Response Squad, following credible intelligence on cult activities in the area.

“During the operation, three suspects named Damilola, aka ‘2Gbaski,’ aged 34 years; Uthman, aged 29 years; and Akinwale, believed to be members of the Supreme Eiye Confraternity, were apprehended.

“A thorough search conducted on the suspects led to the recovery of the following items: one axe; one beret cap; one Retevis walkie-talkie; sachets of tramadol; a substance suspected to be marijuana; and an ice bunker.

“The suspects are currently in custody and have made confessional statements confirming their involvement in cult-related activities and other criminal acts within the state.

"Investigation is ongoing to unravel other possible accomplices and recover additional exhibits. Upon conclusion of the investigation, the suspects will be charged to court accordingly,” he said.

The spokesperson said the command remained resolute in its determination to dismantle cult networks and ensure the safety and security of all residents.

Jimoh said the Commissioner of Police, Adebowale Lawal, appreciated the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Kayode Egbetokun, for his strategic leadership and continuous support.

“The CP also appreciates the IGP for providing operational guidance and resources that have significantly enhanced the command’s anti-cultism operations.

“Lawal advises youths to shun all forms of cultism, emphasising that there is no gain in engaging in such acts, as they only lead to grave consequences.

“Conclusively, the CP reassures residents of the state of the command’s proactive commitment to maintaining a peaceful and crime-free environment.

“He further urges members of the public to continue to provide credible and actionable information that will aid the police in combating crimes and criminalities across the state,” Jimoh said.

CrimeWoman Killed By Hit-and-run Driver In Lagos by Tinajude(op): 6:00pm On Feb 14
A female pedestrian and member of the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries was fatally struck by a Mercedes-Benz C-300 driver in a hit-and-run incident on Saturday at the NYSC Bus Stop, Igando area of Lagos State.

As reported by Vanguard, the victim was reportedly on her way to a worship service at MFM Church, Igando, when the accident occurred.

Confirming the incident, the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority said its personnel responded swiftly.

“Upon receipt of distress alerts, LASTMA personnel stationed along the Igando axis responded with commendable alacrity and operational proficiency.

“Demonstrating tactical coordination and adherence to established emergency response protocols, the officers promptly cordoned off the accident scene to forestall secondary collisions and ensure the safety of other road users,” the statement read.

LASTMA noted that the driver fled the scene immediately after the collision.

“In a deeply reprehensible development, the driver of the Mercedes-Benz C-300 absconded from the scene upon recognising the fatal outcome of the collision.

“This act of flight not only compounds the gravity of the tragedy but also constitutes a flagrant violation of statutory and civic obligations incumbent upon motorists involved in traffic incidents,” the agency said.

The vehicle was later removed from the carriageway by LASTMA operatives in coordination with officers of the Nigeria Police Force, Igando Division. Police have launched an investigation to apprehend the driver.

LASTMA General Manager, Mr Olajide Bakare-Oki, extended condolences to the victim’s family and the MFM Church community, describing the incident as tragic.

He reaffirmed the agency’s commitment to traffic discipline and the preservation of human life and urged all motorists to exercise heightened vigilance, adhere strictly to statutory speed regulations, and demonstrate unequivocal respect for pedestrian rights at all times.
