Big lie!!! ....I had 2.2 in a state university and I was admitted for masters in UI which is even federal.

2.2 is the basic requirement for most departments. Its only competition that gives people with higher cgpa a slight advantage. the strength of ur cgpa is usually correlated with ur entrance performance to determine ur chances based on competition in d department.

These days, cgpa and entrance score is usually correlated because more and more graduates now have means of graduating with 2.1 that they don't deserve.
