Anyone know where I can watch tonight’s rave? I’ve already cancelled my Showmax and I’m outside the country |
Love800:Nice — I dug into the official terms and public reporting. Short answer up front: Multichoice/BBNaija’s public terms don’t state the exact technical method (bank transfer vs. cheque vs. instalments), but in practice the cash component is normally presented/advertised as a single lump cash prize (often shown as a cheque at the prize-presentation) and the physical prizes (car, trips, etc.) are handled separately. Below is the evidence and what it implies. What the official terms say (and what they don’t) • The competition Terms & Conditions published by MultiChoice/DStv make clear that the prize is the prize as stated (no cash alternative, not transferable) and that winners must accept and collect prizes within set timeframes. They also say that where a prize is supplied by a third-party supplier that supplier will contact the winner to arrange collection. The T&Cs require winners to provide information to facilitate prize acceptance and say winners are responsible for certain costs and any tax liabilities. • Crucially the T&Cs do not specify the precise payment mechanism for the cash component (for example “will be paid by bank transfer in one lump sum” or “by instalments”). They lay out acceptance, collection, liability and supplier-arrangement rules instead. What public reporting / past practice shows • When winners are handed their prizes publicly, the cash component is routinely presented as a single cheque at the prize-presentation event (examples: Miracle in 2018 was presented with a ₦25m cheque; Kellyrae in 2024/2025 was shown receiving a ₦60m cheque and an SUV). MultiChoice’s own news pages have also posted prize-presentation items. This strongly suggests the cash portion is handled as a single lump sum award (at least for the public presentation). • There are also media reports of winners later discussing delays or disputes about certain prize elements (for example a past complaint about a promised BTC payment). That indicates administrative delays or sponsor issues can happen, even if the public presentation shows a cheque. How to interpret the evidence • Most likely scenario (based on T&Cs + historical practice): • The cash component is awarded as a single cash prize (advertised as one lump amount). • At the public handover winners are typically presented with a cheque or a cheque-style presentation prop. • The actual settlement is administered by MultiChoice/its financial agents (usually via cheque and/or bank transfer after paperwork, identity checks, tax and compliance formalities). The T&Cs’ requirement for confirmation of acceptance and the involvement of third-party suppliers supports a post-win administrative process. • What we cannot confirm from public documents: whether the cash is always paid by immediate bank transfer into the winner’s account, or whether there are any seasons where a multi-installment arrangement is legally required. The Multichoice T&C and the publicly available season FAQs do not state the specific disbursement mechanism. Conclusion (direct to your example) For a season advertised as ₦150m total: ₦80m cash + ₦70m car: • The ₦80m cash is almost certainly intended as a single lump cash prize (not “gifts totalling the sum”), and historically winners have been presented with a single cheque for the cash portion. • The ₦70m car would be treated as a separate prize (arranged through the supplier, transfer of registration/title as per T&C). |
Love800:It is 80m cash. |
Sigh till next year. Maybe I’ll try Mzansi but it never hits the same. |
scondy:Find it hard to feel happy for the mum considering she chased Imisi out to be homeless at 13. Imisi might have forgiven her but omo it’s doing me somehow |
shawnmendes:Yes now is he not at least stronger than Kola? I gave the boundary. Without that speculative boundary it’s impossible to guesstimate |
From ChatGPT so take with less than a grain of salt: Good question — yes, we can roughly guesstimate Faith’s potential vote share, but only within a margin, because the official chart you shared shows percentages that sum to 100% after Faith’s disqualification, meaning his votes were effectively removed from the pool before computing these percentages. Let’s break this down: 📊 Current Percentages (Total = 100%) Contestant % Imisi 42.80 Dede 15.94 Koyin 15.23 Sultana 7.94 Kola 5.48 Jason Jae 4.24 Mensan 3.54 Isabella 3.07 Kaybobo 1.72 Sum = 100% ⸻ 🧮 Step 1: Assume Faith had X% originally The original total votes (including Faith) would be 100 + X. Each current percentage would have been proportionally smaller if Faith’s votes were still included, because they’d be divided by a bigger total. For example, Imisi currently has 42.8%. Originally, her share would have been: \text{Original Imisi \%} = \frac{42.8}{100 + X} \times 100 Multiply both sides by (100+X): \text{Original Imisi votes} = 42.8 \times \frac{100+X}{100} But we don’t know X yet. So we try plausible scenarios based on speculation that Faith would have made top 3–5. ⸻ 🧠 Step 2: Top 3 Threshold • 3rd place (Koyin) = 15.23% → Faith must have more than 15.23% to rank top 3. So: If Faith had e.g. 20%, the total votes become 120. Imisi’s original share ≈ 42.8 / 1.20 = 35.67% Dede ≈ 15.94 / 1.20 = 13.28% Koyin ≈ 12.69% Faith = 20% He’d rank 2nd (20%) after Imisi (35.67%), ahead of Dede (13.28%). ✅ Plausible for “top 3” claim. ⸻ 🧠 Step 3: Top 5 Threshold • 5th place (Kola) = 5.48% → Faith would need more than that, likely significantly, to be speculated top 5. If Faith had ~10%, total votes = 110. Imisi ≈ 38.91% Dede ≈ 14.49% Koyin ≈ 13.84% Faith = 10% Sultana ≈ 7.22% He’d be 4th at 10% — also plausible for “top 5.” ⸻ 🧠 Step 4: Closer estimation by redistribution effect If Faith was disqualified one day before voting ended, his removal likely caused some voters to redistribute, but not perfectly — some votes just vanished. The final percentages may reflect both: • Existing voters sticking with their picks • Faith’s supporters either switching late or not voting again This makes exact reconstruction impossible, but his original share was likely between 10–20%, given: • He was speculated to be top 3–5 • 3rd place is ~15% • 5th place is ~5% The midpoint guess is around 15%, which would put the total at 115. Recalculating: Imisi ≈ 37.2%, Dede 13.9%, Koyin 13.2%, Faith 15%, Sultana 6.9% — he’d rank 3rd, matching the speculation. ⸻ 🟡 Final Estimate Faith’s vote share was likely between 12–18%, with ~15% being a strong estimate. That would have placed him roughly 3rd place, consistent with the “top 3–5” speculation. ⸻

OG316:Imisi carried nearly half of the votes in a ten man race and you’re still deluded Faith could have won?? |
Tifay:Faith no fit smell top 3 lmao |
Akpakomiza2:Yes baby, run that clip again abeg |
Beorn:Sweet me as they play the DQ clip again. |
Akpakomiza2:Tracy? Explain please |
OG316:Lol this fanbase has gone through all the stages of grief and they’ve now jumped into conspiracy. First it was Imisi did jazz on him, now it’s BB didn’t want him to win, next it will be Sultana was a fake housemate |
Akpakomiza2:Your fav is eating popcorn and drinking pepper tea in his parlor, he has rested, it’s your turn. |
Nkl4u:This boy is in his living room, it’s time to let it go and rest. |
Akpakomiza2:Akpakomiza, please rest. I beg. |
Imisi crocs? Abeg now |
Shame catch Kola |
ultraviolet27:I think the tasks and wagers are for their own sanity because otherwise boredom would finish them. They don’t have phones, books, tv, they don’t even have time. If you remove wagers or tasks they’ll just be sleeping and eating till party or eviction |
renderme:Or maybe, crazy idea but bear with me, he got those two strikes for punching another housemate twice? Your theory doesn’t even make sense, if Multichoice were tired of the calls or needed him gone they would have just disqualified him outright. |
Kola: I know I’m going to be teased a lot (outside the house) Eya Kola just know even if people call you Sister Kola, or a gossip or feminine, most of us agree you’re a stylish well raised gentleman and you’re a nice guy. It’s just teasing end of the day |
Omo I miss the old housemates |
Beorn:But if you listen to any of Kuture’s diary sessions you’d see that Kuture still did not like Faith’s attitude, he was just trying to be more understanding and stay on good terms because make peace reign. Was it not the same Faith who made Kuture cry in his HOH reign? This was one of my many problems with Faith, he aggravates you and tries to dictate your reactions and feelings (“why are you shouting?”, “there’s no need to be angry”). That’s not how real life works, you can’t take things back no matter how much Aquafina you pour on the matter. You can offend someone and move on and they’ll still mean you, maybe not to your face but they’ll definitely be waiting for you to slip up. Kuture has every right to still dislike him. |
Nkl4u:I don’t blame Kuture. The things he said in that fight were very hurtful and even if Kuture forgave, he can’t forget. Someone is telling you you can’t enter a room he’s in outside as if he’s God. And it’s true, you be tailor he be abroad trained doctor. Doctor come later slip up I go too laugh am die |
I don’t like this silence punishment. I did not like it with Jason (especially since it was unfair because HOH is meant to deliver the batteries), I did not like it with Kola but at least they give him a pad, I don’t like it with Imisi. The house is already lonely and stressful on their psyche and you now ask them to close themselves away from everyone else. I hope they get a psychologist on the production team because some of these punishments are not good. |
davodyguy:Someone much earlier, like weeks ago, said how many cele people even watch Big Brother and I was also wondering how many watch it. Guess they’re more than I thought |
Geezeem:You would rather blame jazz than just admit your fav was an a**hole? |
Kaybobo: “Dede is absolutely the number one babe in the house” Person wey dey toast Thelma |
See this silly kbobo, “I’m a terminator, I’m here to destroy ships” Proceeds to do absolutely nothing. |
If you left that short dog in this house for 99 days omo he would have lost his mind fully |
They don start fight even at Ebuka’s dinner |
