Politics › Re: Buharinomics inflation;Razor Blade For #20??Nairalanders Lets Knw Prices Of Tins by TippyTop(m): 9:20am On Feb 11, 2016 |
[s] Iroh88: Oh ye recalcitrant Ekpas, do we produce blades in this country?? I most just about all of you are illiterate, so I'd oblige you with a little bit of basic economics.
When you operate an economy based on a single product and the price of such a product eventually losses its value by over 70%, it is only normal that the value of the currency of such a country operating such an economy to take a beating due to depleting forex. When the value declines, the cost of imported goods and other associated products inevitably rise- even the best economist in the world can't prevent that from happening you illiterate children of Orubebe.
Now, had your biggest party in Africa diversified our economy by just 10% while it held sway for 16 years, perhaps we wouldn't experience none of this- but the economy wasn't diversified, neither was money saved. Rather, despite the windfall from oil, your useless party kept borrowing, recovered looted funds and re-looted them, and stole every penny in sight.
Today, we are paying the price of 10 years of failure, and 6 years of Ineffective Buffoonery and you guys want everything to be fixed in under a year!!
I think we might have more Robotic Buffoons than we initially thought parading themselves as human beings.
#bashing is also allowed. [/s] Prices of most commodities have risen, whether locally produced or imported. Do you live in a parallel universe? |

He wasn't voted for to sit and do nothing, his constituents would be proud of him. How many Nigerians actually know their local senators? |
Politics › Re: Ben-Bruce: Give Students Biscuit & Don't Pay Workers, Get Biscuit Illiterates by TippyTop(m): 1:07pm On Feb 10, 2016 |
[s] seunmsg: Illiterate senator talking rubbish and thinking he's making common sense. He just goes about criticising everything just for the sake of criticising.
Primary education and paying schools teachers is strictly the responsibilities of state and local governments. Federal government is only supporting the efforts of the state government with the feeding program by ensuring school children are properly fed before classes. Students will never learn well when they are hungry so, there is nothing bad in federal governments plan.
Paying teachers promptly is good but not the major solution to the problem in the education sector. Most of the primary school teachers in rural states are not even qualified to teach and like the saying goes, 'you can't give what you don't have'. We saw the reactions of teachers in Ekiti and Edo state when the government wanted to administer competency test on them, they revolted and even voted out the Fayemi government in Ekiti and Edo state had to cancel the plan. What we should do now is for states to sieve the list of their teachers, sack the poor ones, invest massively in training the good ones and bring in fresh graduates just like the federal government is proposing with its plan to employ 500,000 teachers. [/s] Pay their parents decent wages, its not the duty of govt to feed children, its however the duty of govt to ensure its citizens are paid a "living wage" The rest of the world are moving away from socialism yet we're going the route of Osun state, see where it led Aregbesola. |
