I'm looking to start a movie downloading website and would appreciate some guidance on a few questions I have.

A while back, I created a music downloading website that was performing well and ranking on Google. It quickly gained thousands of daily views, and things were looking promising. However, just two days after monetizing the site, my hosting provider shut it down just after 3 months due to copyright infringement. Apparently, I had uploaded a copyrighted song by Rema, and as a result, they terminated my hosting service. What’s worse, they refused to give me access to my backup files, leaving me with nothing after hosting the site for two years.

Despite the setback, I've decided to move on and venture into a movie downloading website. This time, I plan to avoid hosting files on my server. Instead, I intend to provide direct download links to movies from third-party websites. However, I'm unsure if this approach will work, and I definitely don't want to face the same issues as before.

The economy is tough, and I can't afford another disaster like with my previous site. So, I need advice from those who understand how this space operates.

Here are my questions:


1. Is it legal to run a movie downloading website, considering that movies are typically copyrighted upon release?

2. What steps can I take to ensure my site doesn't run into copyright issues?

3. How do websites like Net9ja and Fzmovies manage to operate without facing copyright problems?

Side questions

Did my hosting service just noticed and shut down my website or was I reported, and how did my reporter finds out about my hosting providers assuming I was been reported, and why didn't the reporters report to me directly so I can delete whatever file they claim a right on?

I have seen a lot of website including popular websites use this criteo ads.

I have visited their website, but no option to join or become a publisher.

I have searched for possible ways to become a partner, but seems I can't find it yet.
