AlphaTaikun: Are you kiddin' me 1stGenAmerican? You know those OGs?
First off, Happy new month. I've been off this Website for a few days and I'm just responding to my mentions.
When I told you on an earlier post of your's (where you used a Southern expression) last month that you're an "old Soul," I knew you would soon be unraveled with more facts. *smirk*
Yeah, we both share a love for rap music... so who introduced you to these folks 'cause they are some of my best 10 rap OGs. Tell me a little more about how you got initiated into this art form girl.
Listening to these rappers and rap songs from back in the 1980s through to the early 2000s, Kool Moe Dee, LL Cool J, Big Daddy Kane, ICE-T, Hammer (formerly known as MC Hammer), Heavy D and the Boys, Scarface aka Creepy (from out of the South Side of Houston), Jeru The Damaja (who did the "El Presidente" rap), etc, were and are still my favorite to be honest.
Female rappers such as Queen Latifah make my day anytime too.
I prefer to listen to them than the more recent rappers because their raps songs or vibes make more lyrical sense.
Come and listen to these 1stGenAmerican... just for you:
Every rap fan has had this conversation... heck, it's probably exploded into a full blown argument. And that's "Who's makes the list of the best rappers of all time?" Everyone has an opinion and it's usually based on popularity instead of skill.
It doesn't matter who calls themselves the G.O.A.T. All we care about is pure, technical skill levels, whether they're on a major label or an independent outfit. They need to have been on the scene long enough to prove they can stay consistent, too. So who do you think should be on the list?
