EducationInsecurity: Mrs Idehen-ovabor Raises Alarm by Titansmedia(op): 9:17am On Jun 03
A respected pharmacist and Director of Springfield Private School (SPS) and Bosede Idehen International Academy (BIIA), Mrs. Maureen Idehen-Ovabor, has expressed deep concern over the rising insecurity in Nigeria, particularly the increasing wave of kidnappings targeting school children across the country.

She made her position known during an interaction with journalists on Monday, where she described the situation as alarming, heartbreaking, and in urgent need of decisive government intervention at both state and federal levels.

Mrs. Idehen-Ovabor noted that the activities of bandits and kidnappers have escalated beyond control, with innocent children now becoming primary targets for abduction and ransom demands. She warned that the situation has become increasingly dangerous for families, schools, and communities.

According to her, criminal groups are now operating with boldness, carrying out kidnappings and demanding outrageous sums of money from parents who often have no means of meeting such financial pressure.

She questioned the sustainability of a system where ordinary Nigerian families are expected to raise huge ransom payments while still struggling with economic hardship and rising cost of living.

The education administrator expressed concern that insecurity has now become a recurring feature in national discourse, with daily reports of kidnappings dominating television, radio, and newspaper headlines.

She described the trend as frightening, noting that it has created a climate of fear where parents are constantly worried about the safety of their children, even during school hours and routine movements.

Mrs. Idehen-Ovabor spoke emotionally about her experience as a school proprietor, stating that she understands the psychological and emotional trauma parents go through when their children are exposed to insecurity or go missing.

She emphasized that schools must remain safe spaces for learning, but the current security challenges have made it increasingly difficult to guarantee full protection without stronger national security intervention.

The SPS/BIIA Director called on both the Federal Government and Oyo State Government to put aside political differences and work together to ensure the safe rescue of abducted children across the country.

She stressed that national security should not be politicized, adding that the lives of children must always remain a top priority for any responsible government.

Mrs. Idehen-Ovabor further described kidnapping as a growing criminal industry, warning that it appears to be expanding due to weak enforcement and limited deterrence.

She called for stronger intelligence-driven policing strategies and improved collaboration among security agencies to dismantle kidnapping networks operating nationwide.

In addition, she advised parents to be more vigilant and actively involved in monitoring their children’s movements, especially during school runs and after-school activities.

She revealed that her institutions have already strengthened internal security systems and improved communication channels between school management and parents to enhance student safety.

According to her, protecting children is a collective responsibility that involves parents, schools, communities, and government authorities working together in unity.

She further described the current insecurity situation as a national emergency that requires urgent attention and sustained action from all stakeholders.

Mrs. Idehen-Ovabor expressed deep sadness that even during children-focused celebrations, some Nigerian children remain in captivity, separated from their families and subjected to traumatic conditions.

She concluded by urging authorities to intensify rescue operations, strengthen security frameworks, and restore public confidence in the safety of schools and communities across Nigeria.

The school director maintained that Nigeria can only achieve meaningful progress when children are safe, families are protected, and citizens can live without fear of abduction or violence.

PoliticsRegent Akinloye Akinboni Reaffirms Commitment To Peace And Security In Idanre La by Titansmedia(op): 9:19am On May 14
The Regent and Ojomu of Idanre Land, High Chief Akinloye Akinboni, has reaffirmed his commitment to maintaining peace and stability in Idanre ahead of the forthcoming political party primaries, declaring zero tolerance for violence, thuggery, and acts capable of disrupting the peace of the ancient kingdom.

High Chief Akinboni made this known during the courtesy visit of the Ondo State Commissioner of Police, Adebowale Lawal, to the Idanre palace, where discussions centred on security arrangements and proactive measures to ensure peaceful political activities in the community.

Speaking during the meeting, the Regent explained that the traditional institution had already taken several decisive steps to forestall any recurrence of the February 18, 2026 political unrest experienced in the area.

According to him, community leaders, interest groups, and political stakeholders had been warned against sponsoring or participating in acts of violence, while traditional religion adherents were also mobilised to spiritually invoke ancestral powers and deities against troublemakers seeking to destabilise the land.

The Regent stressed that preserving peace in Idanre remains a sacred responsibility of the traditional institution, noting that every effort must be made to protect lives, properties, and the longstanding reputation of the kingdom as a peaceful community.

He appealed to the police authorities to sustain proactive security measures and work closely with local stakeholders to prevent violence before, during, and after the party primaries.

High Chief Akinboni also commended CP Adebowale Lawal for his swift response during the February 18 crisis, noting that the intervention of the police helped calm tensions and prevent further escalation of violence in the community.

The Regent further used the opportunity to advocate for the upgrading of police formations in Idanre, stating that improved security infrastructure would enhance policing and strengthen public safety across the area.

In his response, CP Lawal praised the people of Idanre for their peaceful disposition, describing them as industrious and hospitable people known for their thriving economic activities and cocoa production.

The police commissioner also applauded the Regent and kingmakers for their efforts in preserving peace and discouraging political violence in the community.

He urged residents not to leave security matters entirely in the hands of security agencies alone but to support policing efforts through community vigilance and collaboration.

CP Lawal additionally encouraged the formation of vigilante groups across neighbourhoods as part of collective efforts to secure the community.

The Regent also commended the Divisional Police Officer of Olofin Divisional Police Headquarters, Monehin Oladele, describing him as a professional and dedicated officer who has remained committed to maintaining law and order in Idanre land.

The meeting ended with renewed assurances from both the traditional institution and the police command to work together in ensuring a peaceful and violence-free political process in Idanre.

Stop Paying Bank Transfer Fees, Here’s How to Enjoy Unlimited Free Transfers

In today’s economy, every naira counts, so why are you still paying to send money? Hidden transfer charges may seem small, but over time, they add up and eat into your budget.

Think about it; if you make just 50 transfers in a month at N25 each, that’s N1,250 gone. In a year, you’ve given away N15,000, enough to buy new sneakers, pay for a month’s data, or cover your Netflix subscription.

Imagine if you could make unlimited transfers without worrying about extra costs.
Why Nigerians Are Tired of Transfer Fees
For many young Nigerians, whether you're a freelancer, student, or hustling entrepreneur, bank withdrawal fees, transfer charges, and even token related costs can chip away at your hard-earned income. According to a recent report, withdrawing N20,000 from off-site ATMs can cost up to N600. Plus, card maintenance fees, cybersecurity levies, SMS alerts, and VAT quietly erode your balance, especially if you transact often. That’s why financial literacy experts say the first step to growing your money is plugging the leaks and unnecessary charges are one of the biggest leaks.
Free transfers mean you can move your money without worrying about hidden costs, so more of your cash stays where it belongs.

Does PalmPay Really Offer Zero Transfer Fees?

PalmPay has positioned itself as the neobank for Nigerians by providing inclusive financial services including offering unlimited free bank transfers. No monthly limits, just seamless, stress-free payments to any bank in Nigeria.

To make it even better, PalmPay processes payments instantly, so no more “pending” alerts because the platform boasts of 99.9% transaction success rate.

Take Ajibola, a Data Analyst, who said: “PalmPay has revolutionized my financial transactions, enabling fast and seamless transfers. I love the points system, which lets me redeem airtime or data. The free transfer feature makes it incredibly convenient, so I often keep my funds in the app to maximize the benefits.”

A recent conversation on X spotlighted PalmPay’s free transfer feature as a true game changer. While some users wished it would remain a “hidden gem” to avoid a rush of new sign-ups, the secret is already out as over 40 million users enjoy unlimited free transfers, a benefit that continues to empower their financial growth journeys.

Affordable Banking Isn’t Just a Buzzword Whether you’re running a small business, hustling side gigs, or just managing your personal budget, cutting out bank transfer fees means more money stays in your pocket. Over a year, that’s thousands of naira saved, money you can invest for your personal goals.

Free transfers aren’t just a nice to have, it is a necessity in today’s cash-conscious world. With PalmPay, you’re not only saving money but also enjoying speed, convenience, and security.

EducationSpringfield Private School & Bosede Idehen International Academy Extend Love by Titansmedia(op): 11:06am On Feb 15, 2025
Springfield Private School & Bosede Idehen International Academy Extend Love to Orphanage on Valentine’s Day

In a heartfelt act of kindness, Springfield Private School and Bosede Idehen International Academy (SPS/BIIA) celebrated Valentine’s Day by reaching out to an orphanage, reinforcing their dedication to both academic excellence and social responsibility.

The annual philanthropic initiative has been a longstanding tradition at SPS/BIIA, with the school consistently supporting orphanages as part of its mission to instill compassion and generosity in students.

Speaking to the press, the Director of SPS/BIIA, Mrs. Maureen Idehen-Ovabor, emphasized the importance of teaching students to express love beyond the classroom.

“While academic excellence remains our priority, it is equally important that our students learn the values of love and empathy. I always remind them that there are people with fewer opportunities, and it is our responsibility to extend kindness to them,” she stated.

Mrs. Idehen-Ovabor explained that she could have simply arranged for gifts to be sent to the orphanage but instead chose to involve the students directly.

“This initiative allows them to personally witness the impact of their generosity. Many of them contributed their own gifts, and the joy they felt while sharing was truly remarkable. When children learn the importance of giving at an early age, it becomes a lifelong habit,” she added.

She further highlighted the school’s broader vision of developing not only intellectual abilities but also strong moral character.

“We are shaping future leaders—leaders who will not only excel academically but also show empathy for those around them. Our impact extends beyond education; we are grooming individuals who will make the world a better place.”

The initiative was warmly received by students, who expressed enthusiasm and gratitude for the opportunity to contribute. Many shared that the experience had given them a deeper understanding of the importance of kindness and community support.

As the school continues its outreach efforts, Mrs. Idehen-Ovabor reaffirmed SPS/BIIA’s commitment to nurturing well-rounded individuals.

“This is more than a Valentine’s Day event—it is a lesson in love, gratitude, and social responsibility. We are honored to make a difference in the lives of children who may not have the same privileges as others.”

With this meaningful outreach, SPS/BIIA once again demonstrates that true education extends beyond academics—it is about shaping responsible, compassionate citizens who are ready to impact society positively.

We cannot but applaud INEC’s efforts to ensure a smooth and fair election. The security personnel on the ground did their best to prevent violence and keep vote buying to a bare minimum.

However, there are some things we should consider in light of what transpired in the Osun state election and how it may affect the presidential election in 2023. First and foremost, people, particularly young people, are more conscious of election issues. Election days used to be a quarantine scenario, especially when I was growing up, and the biggest activity many engaged in was turning the major streets into soccer pitches, putting their destiny in the hands of a few who don’t care as long as their palms are greased by a few thousand.

In contrast to the End Sars rally, where the youth demonstrated that power belongs to the people, there is a new knowledge that electorates may determine who stays in power. This was evident in Osun state, where a big number of young people (19-34 years old had the largest proportion of votes cast) supported their parties and went to the collation centres to ensure that the results from their polling units were appropriately updated. This is wonderful news for the people of Osun state, but it will be much better if this virus spreads across the country by 2023. This type of intensity would ensure that the majority’s voice was heard in 2023. The high level of participation makes it impossible to rig the polls in favour of a particular party or individual.

Another thing that drew my attention during the Osun gubernatorial election was a new realization that it is individuals who matter, not the political party to which they belong. Politicians without a manifesto or plans to hold public office have come to an end. Nigeria has awoken from its slumber, and the people are ready to believe you.
The fact that several people were paid to vote in different polling units but still voted for individuals and parties of their choice is a great twist in this Osun story. This demonstrates people’s political awareness and how it will affect them. People now understand that their office is the best in the country. We know that efforts will be increased in the upcoming elections, but one thing is certain: if it can be done in one state, it can surely be done in all of them. However, political sensitization in the country must not be reduced; rather, it must be increased so that people in remote villages become aware of their rights.

Finally, we can notice that the end of “Cabalism” and “godfatherism” in the southwest and Nigeria is gradually coming to an end. It is not a common experience to see the sitting governor of a state be floored in that manner, especially when The Godfather has done all he can to ensure that his candidate wins. This is what we love to see in the build-up of the 2023 elections.

CrimeUBA Customer Complains About The N1.4 Million Account Deduction by Titansmedia(op): 11:42am On Jul 07, 2022
Princess Victoria Ajibola, a well-known actress and a UBA customer complained about an unauthorised withdrawal of 1.4 million Nairas from her account on Friday at exactly 11 a.m. It all started with a 250k debit alert before they took 1.4 million without her getting any money from the bank.
Adebayo Tijani and Sanyeri helped her phone customer service while she was filming the movie to no effect. On her way to the bank, she kept phoning customer service.

When she arrived at the bank, none of her complaints had been addressed, and UBA was actively attempting to ignore her.
While she was still in the bank and trying to find a solution, UBA told her there was nothing they could do.
Her account wasn’t blocked until she began screaming and making a scene inside the bank.

When she returned to the bank, they advised her to wait until their headquarters sent them a mail at UBA IDI APE BRANCH IBADAN. After this, she went to the Opay office to complain because the money was deducted using POS. At the office, she was told they couldn’t do anything until UBA sent a mail to them.

In this situation, Princess Victoria Ajibola is urging Nigerians to intervene.

Dapo Abiodun, the current governor of Nigeria’s Ogun state, has had a shaky start to his re-election campaign in recent weeks.
According to reports in the media, the governor of Ogun state may be disqualified from running on the APC platform in the 2023 general elections (APC). As a result of an alleged criminal record in the United States of America, this has happened.

While the government claims that the APC cannot reject him on this grounds, information about his previous criminal history has surfaced.

The Coalition of Ogun State Students and Youth has issued a warning to banks, political parties, media, and the general public to prevent Prince Dapo Abiodun from contesting the APC primaries on May 18, 2022.

The body also made arrest records and the mugshot of Prince Dapo Abiodun, the governor of Ogun State, accessible.

Read their statement below:

Also overleaf are CTC documents which one of our members, who is now he shall present in court to authenticate the criminal past of Gov. To all banks doing business with Ogun State, we declare that you should be very careful as all transactions handled during the government of this now-certified fraudster, who has fraudulently found the vaults of Ogun State on his laps, shall be scrutinised by the EFCC at a no distant future. To be forewarned is to be forearmed.
To all Elders of Ogun State, speak out now! Call Prince Dapo Abiodun to order. In 2019, no one knew of his criminal past. Now that we all know, he should steer clear of Oke-Mosan and vanish into inglorious oblivion as the only criminal Chief Executive our dear State has had the misfortune to elect.

To all media organisations who have refused to use these authentic materials, you have shown that you prioritise profit more than your duty of holding society accountable.

Politics‘nobody Will Work Here’ - A Woman Demands An N100,000 Refund From Zenith Bank. by Titansmedia(op): 4:06pm On Apr 21, 2022
There was drama at the banking hall of Zenith Bank as a ‘big woman’ went berserk in her quest to get an issue resolved.

A woman' went nuts in her attempt to address a problem at Zenith Bank's banking hall, causing a ruckus.

The woman took matters into her own hands by physically interfering with bankers' ability to serve other clients.

The lady lamented that N100k had been debited from her account in a live video that was reshared by Facebook user Hammid Bakare and that she had been visiting the bank for the last month to get it repaired to no avail.

Instead, the obviously upset woman claimed, bankers kept forcing her to return to the bank and go through procedures that seldom deliver the desired outcome.

She threatened to go nude.

Everyone in the banking hall was drawn to her loud shout.

Poised to follow through with the threat to halt banking activities that day, the woman wore her car key around her neck and would stop any banker she saw attending to a customer.

The woman was enraged even more by the push from bankers, security staff, and other worried customers to arrest the situation, which lasted for 34 minutes.

She threatened to go nude at one point, vowing to spend the night in the bank.
