We've had so many candidates, who are veryanxious to know the date their post-UTME aptitude test will be written. The plain fact is nobody knows the date Post-UTME for a particular school is usually conducted because it's not an event that is usually fixed into the academic calendar of the institution. The school may decide (at any time) to conduct her screening exercise and it's usually tasked on the candidate to be aware at that time. It is however, the responsibility of the candidate to be informed and try to get the right information using any means possible. Here are some of the simple tips you can use to stay informed on your school's post-UTME registration and exam dates; 1. Visit www.gurusgarden.ml , daily from now on! 2. Visit the school's official website, daily from now on! |

Are you overwhelmed by negative thoughts and past failures? If you are, then it is difficult to feel confident. My father’s advice always was, “Look on the bright side.” I did not realize that was such good advice until about 30 years later! Here are 11 easy ways toboost your confidence if you are feeling glum and pessimistic. 1. Focus on positive thoughts.Looking on the bright side meansfocusing on the positive aspects of your life. Focus on your good health, achievements, talents, and experience. Research has shown that when elderly Canadians were convinced that their health was poor, they were much more likely to end up in hospital than thosewho were convinced their health was excellent. Time to dismiss all those negative thoughts! 2. Use the power of mantras. Thoughts need to be verbalized and this is how the power of mantras, repeated to yourself, can work. Perhaps you are dogged by critical comments, desolate because of insultsor crippled by setbacks? How on earth can you boost your confidence with allthat going on? Many experts believe that when we repeat mantras, we canboost confidence. Try a few of these for yourself:- “What others say is a reflection of them, not me.”-“The only approval I need is my own.”-“I am good enough.”-“I look great.”-“I can succeed in this.” 3. Sit up straight. There are now posture corrector apps which can be attached to your lower back to remind you to sit up straight with head lifted and shoulders back. The experts tell us that when weslouch, this affects our whole outlookon life. One study showed that those who sat upright were much moreoptimistic about their prospects incareers and their relationships. Those who were slouching were way downthe list as regards confidence. Stops louching! 4. Learn from setbacks. Maybe you think that there are far toomany setbacks and this has ruined your confidence in getting that dreamjob or getting a great figure. You maybe thinking that your weight lossprogram is useless because you willnever achieve your goal. The secrethere is think of a setback or failure as feedback. It is telling you what toadjust and how to continue on theroad, using a slightly differentapproach.“Life’s problems reveal who wereally are”- Unknown 5. Think of expectations rather thanfantasies. If you fantasize too much and visualize lots of success, happiness and wealth, there may be a shock coming.Research now suggests that positive expectations are a much safer route totake to boost your confidence. After all, dreaming is part of a fantasy.Expectations are based on pastexperiences. Studies show that people with realistic expectations were doing better at getting the dream job or finding 6. Choose 5 things you can easily do.Maybe you are a great jogger or cook? Perhaps you are kind andcompassionate? Whatever it is, choose 5 of these things that you are really good at and always make you feel great afterwards. This is a great confidence booster and an even betterone is to tick them off your list at theend of the day. 7. Seek out positive leisure time. This is where you have to make aneffort to avoid toxic company and also exposure to bad news. We are surrounded by disasters and everytime we log on, there is news about some catastrophe, There is very rarely good news. This can drag us downinto doom and gloom. The solution toboost confidence is to dedicate moretime to physical activity, watching funny videos and above all, enjoyingthe company of positive friends and colleagues. 8. List your achievements. You need to constantly remind yourself of what you achieved in yourlife so far. This often gets overshadowed by problems andworries. These can cloud your vision and make your goal seem impossible. A good idea is to keep a list of your successes near your computer to remind yourself. There is nothingwrong with self-promotion. This is agreat confidence booster. The greatthing about being self-confident is thatyou can inspire others to be like that too. Spread the good news! 9. Count your blessings. My father also said this! Look at whatyou have now. You are in acomfortable space, you have enoughfood to eat, and you can even read myarticle! Did you know that happiness ismade up of 90% of how you actually view your life? The other miserable10% make up the actual circumstances.Too often, when you are not self-confident, you tend to concentrate onthis tiny percentage. Every single day, make sure you list all the things you have to be grateful for. Your list will probably be quite long. That will make you feel happier straight away and also boost yourconfidence 10. Keep taking risks. Imagine that you have had negative feedback or that you have screwed up at work. These things happen all the time and your confidence takes abattering. The worst possible thing you can do is to crawl back into your shell and decide to keep a low profile. Head down and work away without takingany risks. This is not a good way torecover. We need to keep taking risks and keep moving forward to achieve success. That is the best recipe to get back your confidence. Retirement is not an option yet!“If you’re going through hell, keep going.” – Winston Churchill 11. Forget perfectionism. We all strive to be the best, the nicest, the most successful. The list goes onand on. But recognizing that perfectionism is simply not achievable can be a great recipe to boost confidence. Nothing wrong with excellence but perfectionism willensure we spend too much timecomparing ourselves to others all thetime. That is not healthy at all and can ruin our confidence as we observe their successes. The best way forward to self-confidence is to stop beatingourselves up for our mistakes and our faults.“A great figure or physique is nice, but it’s self-confidence thatmakes someone really sexy.” –Vivica A.Fox. |

On behalf of the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board will start JAMB Change of Course and Institution on March 30th, 2015. As we write, modalities has been concluded to enable the official site for the exercise. .WARNING: Unfortunately from experience, many candidates wait till the last minute before applying for change of course or school or both. Doing change of institution late has untold effects, if you apply when the new school you want have downloaded their application data from JAMB, your detail will not be submitted and you will NOT be allowed to write Post JAMB there even after your change of course is successful. To avoid this frustration, do not wait for closing date. Pay while it is still on; infact it is safer to be among the first to do it! More updates at www.gurusgarden.ml |

WHY BUHARI MUST NOT WIN I want to ask, if Buhari should win Jonathan, will Buhari's wife make Nigerians laugh and forget their sorrows like first lady Dame Patience does? Chai !! Chai !!! This blood we are "sharing" 12- * diaris God o... 13- * on behave of N2million I donate my family. 14- *To all those who think Goodluck Jonathan has failed, I have a question for you. When a child fails an exam, isn't the child supposed to be repeated? Please support and honour Nigeria first lady by sharing this with all your contacts Don't laugh alone. Let us vote Buhari out because His wife can't make us laugh like first lady Dame Patience Chei ! Chei !! Chei !!! Dis message "we are reading" "diaris god o" Are you a joke lover? The process of getting admitted into your choice institution requires that you take a POST- UTME exam. The POST-UTME, unlike every other exam you have written, is of utmost importance hence requiring utmost preparation. These said, here are 7 tips to help you prepare for the POST-UTME. If you read and practice carefully what is written in this article, I promise you, you will smiling your way to paying acceptance fee. 1. START REVISING YOUR BOOKS BEFORE THE EXAM For an exam as the POST-UTME, you have to bring your A-game to the table because that’s what determines your admission into the university. Pick up past questions from at least 5 years before hand, and study carefully. You should also make study notes to help organize your written materials into sub- headings, bullet points and diagrams as too much written stuff can be off-putting.. 2. MINIMIZE THE TIME YOU SPENT WATCHING SEASONAL FILMS AND HOME VIDEOS AND LISTEN TO NEWS, NETWORK NEWS PREFERABLY. Just like the saying your life is shaped by two things, one who you listen to, and two what you spent your time doing. Preparing for an exam requires a lot of studies, therefore spending more time with your books rather than watching movies and cheap chart will offers one a greater opportunity of getting what they want out of it. And also listen to NEWS and good interview for their are more to learn from it that will contribute a lot during your exam. 3. MINIMIZE THE TIME YOU SPEND ON SOCIAL ACTIVITIES Yes catching fun is really good but business before pleasure seems to be the best. Post Utme requires a lot of attention, avoid clubbing and some other irrelevant activities because distraction from such is one of the major causes of failure during exams in general. As a matter of fact you will get tired of lots of such on campus when admitted depending on what you want for yourself, So you better start preparing. 4. AVOID DRINKING OR EATING FOOD THAT CONTAINS CAFFEINE Although most of us may not really understand what caffeine is, well, in a brief definition, Caffeine is a central nervous system stimulant. Just like weed, Caffeine makes you feel good for a short term, but it gives you migraine in the long run. Some of the food and drink that contains caffeine including coke, energy drinks and coffee and it gives a short term side effects such as headache, nausea, and anxiety, which you wouldn't want to tolerate as an exam candidate. 5. EAT AS LIGHT AS POSSIBLE Eating too much on a regular day is not advisable for anyone because it makes one weak and lazy. Studies have also shown that students that skip breakfast experience a 20-40% of thinking skills, and so it is not also advisable to skip breakfast. But before your exam, eat as light as possible so that you don’t get too heavy and slow, or sleepy. 6. LEARN TIME MANAGEMENT Time management is key to a successful living. Stress often comes from the belief that you are running out of time to prepare; therefore by allocating time blocks for each important topic nothing will be missed and your worries will disappear. Give this a shot! 7. DEVELOP A POSITIVE MENTAL ATTITUDE & PRAY! Believe it or not, it really works. You are attracted by what u give your attention to whether positive or the other negative mental attitude. Think positive cause the minute you start having negative thoughts, it begins to work against you. To overcome failure, you have to first set your mind to it then this should be the no. 1 PRAY and commit the desires of your heart to God and He will surely see you through. I believe this will help. Goodluck!. More information on UTME , POST UTME and ADMISSION 2015 visit www.gurusgarden.ml |
