As a Nigerian passport holder, will I need a South African transit visa for this journey?

I've checked the VFS website, and it appears that passengers transiting through O.R. Tambo International Airport without leaving the international transit area may not require a transit visa. However, given the current immigration procedures and experiences shared by some travellers, I'd appreciate clarification from anyone who has travelled this route recently.

Specifically:

* Will a 6-hour layover require a South African transit visa?
* Has anyone travelled from Nigeria through Johannesburg to Eswatini or another neighbouring country recently?
* Were there any immigration or boarding issues during transit?
