A dramatic injury-time penalty gave Manchester United their first win of the Premier League (PL) campaign, making it their sixth league game from the previous eight to have featured a penalty (for/against). However, Tottenham have kept just two clean sheets across their last 27 PL away games – both against now-relegated teams from 2019/20. Furthermore, José Mourinho is searching for his first away win in seven attempts against teams he previously managed (D2, L4). A result either way beckons though, as none of the last 14 PL H2Hs held here have ended level.

Players to watch: United’s David de Gea has saved just two of the 29 PL penalties he’s faced, the second-lowest saving rate amongst goalkeepers to have faced 25+ penalties.

Tottenham’s Harry Kane has five PL assists, his second-best return in a PL campaign behind seven in 2016/17, and the joint-most after the opening three matchdays.

Hot stat: Since the start of last season, United’s PL games have produced 20 penalties, the most by any team (15 for and five against).

Despite netting a first-half opener against Liverpool in their last Premier League (PL) match, Arsenal fell to a 3-1 HT/FT defeat. The ‘Blades’ are also winless in their previous seven PL road trips (D2, L5), with their 1-0 defeat at Aston Villa in their last away outing continuing a low-scoring trend from last season, where Sheffield saw a league-low average of 2.05 match goals per away fixture.

Players to watch: The fourth-highest scoring Frenchman in Arsenal’s history, Alexandre Lacazette (51 goals in all competitions) has scored the opener in all three PL games so far.
David McGoldrick has scored Sheffield’s only competitive goal this season, and netted in the last H2H.

Hot stat: Going into the weekend the PL has seen an average of 3.68 goals per match. The PL record is 2.82 (2018/19), and no top-flight campaign has seen over 3.0 since the 1960s.
