A kitchen knife can be used to cook but can also be used to kill. That does not mean the kitchen knife should be banned. You make laws with serious consequences if the kitchen knife is used for what it was not meant for, simple.

Kidnapping should carry a life sentence and a death sentence if the victim is killed during the process. Why are we soft on kidnappings in this country?

The issue is that the government policies are making low income people desperate and dangerous. That Labourer in your vicinity is desperate to survive, that taxi driver is desperate to survive, that police officer at the checkpoint is desperate to survive. Countless of people in Nigeria today are desperate to survive. All these are caused by policies that make people poor. One chance in Abuja no longer rub you for money in your bag or pocket, they are now kidnapping people especially women for millions of naira in ransom. How did we get here, BAD POLICY that was not well researched before implementing. You Dey copy developed countries policies to implement in third world countries. Try get shame and scense.
