I have been on Nairaland for a while now, mostly reading through posts and interacting when I feel the need.

I do not have an alternate moniker, older or newer. I have no need for another moniker.

On vouching, I do not have anyone I can call on for that specifically, even as I have conducted some transactions with sellers here on Nairaland.

To give assurances to individuals who will patronize me, I am willing to provide personal information, employment details and any other required information privately. This would provide them with a way to be sure of my identity and a measure of control over me.

Hello,

I'm Oba and I want to offer you Escrow Services.

The Escrow Initiative is a pet project of mine and since working from home opened up some free time, I would like to offer escrow services to willing individuals on Nairaland as a way to safeguard their transactions.

Here's how it works:

1. You contact me if you need escrow services and I open up a Whatsapp (or Telegram) group for the transaction.
2. The buyer, the seller and the escrow (me) would be on the group.
3. The buyer transfers the funds for the transaction to the escrow and I inform the group of receipt with evidence.
4. The seller sends the product (or currency) to the buyer using the means agreed by the both of them and puts the details (tracking ID, name and number of dispatch rider etc) on the group.
5. The buyer receives the product and signals on the group that product has been received and seller should be paid.
6. Escrow releases transacting funds to the seller and the transaction is completed. The Whatsapp group will be closed at the end of the transaction or kept open if the individuals in the group foresee future transactions.

There you have it. Simple and easy.

It is unavoidable that there may be issues with transactions. In such cases, we'll try to settle disputes in the group. If it becomes too difficult, we bring the dispute to the Dispute Resolution thread to be sorted out.

An added value service is to provide vetting services for new transactions based on past transactions. Therefore, if you have used my service for a number of successful transactions, I am obliged to say so if anyone asks me about your transaction history before completing a deal.

Escrow Cost
The cost of using escrow ranges from ₦10 to ₦100 depending on the size of the transaction.

Also, transfer costs will be borne by the transacting parties. My bank offers me 25 free transfers in a month, therefore the first 25 escrow users in a month will be free from transfer costs on my end.

Safety
This is a faceless platform so it is dangerous, to say the least, to transact without some safeguards. To build trust with the people who would use my escrow service, I would be willing to share information such as my personal details, my employer name, the direct line to my bank and other details as may be necessary with the transacting parties. This should provide transacting parties with some assurance and control.

But I think it is enough to state here that I live and work in Nigeria. I work for a Fund associated with a popular Nigerian bank with billions as assets under management.

Other details would be provided to transacting parties as it becomes necessary.

Why am I doing this?
Well, it's simple. I would like to have something other than my job and other passive investments to engage me and provide a flow of income, no matter how meager. If I can provide escrow services for 100 large transactions in a month, that's a blessing.

Also, this is an idea that I had due to a failed transaction some months back, so I'm just following my interests and trying to solve a problem that I have experienced.

What you wrote up there is invaluable indeed and it provided me with what I needed to hear in the way I needed to hear it. It is something that will be read over and over whenever I require guidance on the issue. Thanks once again.

If I may ask, knowing that you will understand this question of mine better than I can clothe it in words, how do you handle it all? What you see everyday, what you hear on the news? Understand me please, I mean, how do you cope with all you see? All the wrong around you? The actions of our fellow men? We shouldn't judge in line with the words of Jesus Christ which says 'let he who is without sin cast the first stone'; for most of us, even though we are trying, are no better ourselves but we are still able to recognise what is wrong. What do you do then? Correct he who is wrong? But he won't listen, it is my recognition, not his; why should he put any stock to my words?

The thing is I had a conversation with someone today and it ended up drifting to where many of the problems in my immediate environment were discussed, things which fill me with sadness daily. But during the conversation, I thought to myself that what is the point of seeing it if I can't do anything about it? What good is it to my fellow men if I can't use all I've been allowed to know to help them, all the while knowing that they need help?

I don't know if it's an infantile question and I may snap out of it after some time but I just really need to put it out here right now. If any of your precious insights, those insights that gleam colourfully under the Light of the Truth, can help in any way, I will be really grateful to you.

Yes I unlocked my bootloader. I did this a long time ago so I've forgotten the steps, but it is easy if u follow instructions. First u need to check if ur bootloader is locked or unlocked. Then off ur phone, then press the volume down button and power button simultaneously for a few seconds, ur phone should boot into recovery. Then check the top, if it is unlocked it will say unlocked like the picture of my m7 below. If it is locked it will say locked. If unlocked, go ahead and root, if not then follow the link below to unlock ur bootloader.

Go to xda, there are lots of stock based custom rom that a very stable for HTC one m7. I have been using lollipop for m7 with since March 2015.

Did you unlock your bootloader before flashing the ROM? If you did, can you please explain how? I wanted to flash the Google Play Edition plus ROM but it seems I need to unlock my bootloader.... so any help is appreciated. Thanks.

I deduced from the above explanations that the guilt of the death of the Son of God rests on the inhabitants of the Earth seeing as it occurred here, hence, the guilt must return here reciprocally.

The above explanations, in addition with the one concerning the manifestation of the Word of the Son of God in the Ethereal world have also given me an idea as to how the Word will manifest in the other universes.
