@OP i used a note 2 with the insane chip(old modelled 16GB variants of note 2 and galaxy s3 have this chip) but mine aint dead uptill today. Bought it early april last year. Sold it out and it's still working. The SDS thing can be fixed, you were just ignorant. All you needed to do was flash a custom cynogen rom(i flashed mine wit omega rom)l and then flash the alpha persus kernel. Sorry tho, this info is quite late, bet i hope it'd help other note2 and s3 users with the 16GB insane chip variant |

Aystarz: My word! I'd better have a rethink on the Tecno P9 I'm planning on getting this weekend. Seriously guys, are Tecno phones as bad as being purported by the OP?i'd strongly advice against it. Don't buy a tecno device, go for a gionee or infinix that falls under the p9 category. Tecno company be too economical and are making crab phones. Most of these persons ranting on here don't know a pin bout phones. |

Rudebwoy: Op, I bought a brand new Samsung Galaxy S3 at Slot Lagos in September last year for someone, just before Christmas, the phone refused to power on, I don't know when they will open for the year, so am now waiting till next week to return it to slot.brotherly, is the s3 the 16GB variant? If yes, google the words "sudden death syndrome". The phone might be dead and gone. I pray ayam wrong. |

Did u format the memory card alongside?if u did'nt,then u shud format it too but u could back up ur memory card b4 format so as not to loose important data. Hope it works. |
