Follow the instructions on the Polish embassy website and do as it instructs. Regarding the funding, remember to also add the cost of the accommodation that you have secured by multiplying the monthly cost by 12. Below is what it says in terms of funding;

7. Documents confirming the possession of financial resources to cover the costs of return travel and costs of stay in Poland (to be selected from the list - there is no obligation to present all of them). The minimum required amount of financial resources is as follows: 1) PLN 2 500 for the return trip, 2) the cost of accommodation shown on the basis of hotel or rental agreement, 3) PLN 701 for each month of stay (PLN 701 x 12 months = 8 412 PLN):

a) Traveler's check;

b) Original certificate of a credit card limit issued by the bank that issued the credit card;

c) Original certificate of cash in a bank having its registered office in the territory of the Republic of Poland;

d) Document confirming the granting of a national or foreign scholarship;

e) Original certificate of employment and amount of earnings;

f) Original letter of sponsorship confirmed by a notary public - if the applicant does not finance his/her stay in Poland. The sponsor confirms the possession of funds to cover the costs of return travel and the costs of the applicant's stay in Poland on the basis of the documents listed in point a, b, c or e.

Hello pls I will like to know how to process for German student visa
0yewale:

I don't have 100% personal experience as regards this but what I will advise is that you focus on getting a Job after your program first, unless you have load of cash. Getting a job anywhere (not even in Bavaria) should not be hard since you mentioned B.Eng and I am therefore assuming your German proficiency is on point.
The load of cash here is because if you are trying to take on a dependant, it means you need to be able to cater for them (at least on paper).
If you are working as a student, you are mostly likely not doing it full-time for the whole year or during the 18 months, you don't have a sufficient contract acceptable at the foreign office. You will then need additional blocked account for the (each) dependant to address this.

For you to take on a dependant, it means:
1. Accommodation must be sufficient, I think the minimum is 14 sqm per head, depending on your present accommodation, you might need to 'upgrade' it for you to file for a dependant.
2. Health Insurance, I am not sure your present student subsidized health insurance can cover that for a dependant too.
3 Your net income needs to be sufficient.

However, since you are not working, the assumption is that you can't provide this for someone 'out-of-the-box' and hence the need for additional blocked account.

The Canada route is also viable but it has its own requirements and like someone mentioned already, family reunion takes time and the earlier she start the better.

Personally, I won't add a dependant if my own path is not close to 100% in terms of assurance yet but that is just me.

also, few people have had exceptional experience on part(s) of the requirements sha but just like any other thing, it is more of a miracle.

Hello pls how will like to know how to process for German student visa
Basalt:

Hahahahahahaaahahah, when I got my German visa, this is exactly how people reacted. The question on their lips to date is HOW POSSIBLE? , because to them it seemed impossible since I came from a very poor family.
They all thought maybe I won a scholarship or something like that. In the place I work at night, I opened up to one of my colleagues that I have another job (mini) in addition to my studies which I don't joke with, he thought I was joking. He asked HOW ON EARTH CAN A HUMAN DO THIS STRESSFUL NIGHT JOB AND STILL DO ANOTHER JOB, AND TO THINK THAT HE IS EVEN A STUDENT... IS THAT POSSIBLE?
I found out that people always ask HOW in my case. All glory belongs to Almighty God.
Well, that's apart.

I agree with you, Germans are not friendly. They hardly talk to you if you don't talk to them, and they are strict too. They are mostly introverts but honestly, they have one of the lowest unemployment rates in the world. The problem is that we find it hard learning the language. Some of us don't also have the intention of learning the language. Deutschland is not English land, we need Deutsch to go far in Deutschland. if you intend to live in Germany, then you need to learn the language. If we can learn the language to at least B1 and pass the Goethe B1 test before graduating, it will go a long way in widening our employability.
The good news is that it is no longer compulsory that you must get work in your area of discipline which means you can as well learn a needed skill and get work in other fields if possible or even leave the country to settle in other countries, the main aim of almost every person that left Nigeria for studies in abroad is to remain in abroad after his or her studies.
It is extremely rare to see anyone who plans to return back to Nigeria.

So anywhere at all that gives you the opportunity to stay after your MSc, why not?
