THe c3 has arrived in nigeria o and it has arrived stylishly. Just when I thought nokia was losing to blackberry with their IM and monthly N5000 subscription. Now I've been proved wrong Nokia has been the no. 1 manufacturer of mobile phones of all kinds for all categories of people for years and no useless RIM/BB can do anything about it. Last week the Nokia c3 was officially launched in Nigeria. Though it runs on the symbian S40 platform, and might not offer multi tasking It comes with a wide 2.4 inch screen, full QWERTY keyboard, WLAN and full social network integration. Imagine switching on your phone and right there on the homescreen you can see your friends' status updates without even having to open the menu, go to the browser and then open facebook, well that's exactly what the C3 offers. Now, the maddest art of this is that nokia has partnered with our very good friends, mtn to provide C3 users 24hr access to the internet for a monthly subscription fee. Very similar to the Backberry Internet Service we all know of very well which has caused obsession with blackberries. The thing is that unlike Blackberry, which requires you to pay 5000 NAIRA every month for the service, with a c3, allyou need to get this same service, is a thousand naira. as in 1000 . Whatsmore, you caneasily connect your C3 to your laptop and use it as a modem to browse on ur pc. This is like the best news I've heard this year. What I'm not sure of is whether the 1000 per month service will be extended to other devices in the C series or just the C3. but anyhow, nokia are really going to sell. Now its bye bye to blackberry and "What's your PIN" and hello too nokia C3 and ovi chat Nokia/ovi 4 life P.S- my ovi username is tobeski |
