The Dantata family are of Agalawa (or ethnic Tuareg long-distance trading origin). The Tuaregs are alternatively called "Buzu" people in the North of Nigeria where they engaged as security guards and more). Dangote's biological mother is ORIGINALLY from the Dantata family and these ethnic Tuareg families ORIGINALLY from Mali and Niger Republic region settled in the trading cities of Katsina and Kano over 200 years ago or just before 1800 due to the trans-Saharan trade. Although there have been admixtures with a few other Northern ethnic groups over the centuries, the Dantata and Dangote families are of direct Tuareg lineages from the Niger Republic and Northern Mali regions where the current JNIM jihadi insurgency in Mali, Burkina Faso and Niger Republic has it's current ORIGINS.

A former President of Nigeria, the late Umaru Yar'Adua of Katsina State is ALSO ORIGINALLY of Tuareg origin from the Northern Niger Republic and Northern Mali region.

Do more reading on the Agalawa people (Tuareg settlers of Kano and Katsina) in books or online to know who they are.
