Short term? I believe so. The official market is very liquid at the moment, whether he can sustain it long term is what nobody can ascertain at the moment.

Moving nnplc revenue straight to CBN is looking like a game changer.

I believe the naira will settle and stabilize around 900 - 1100 and they will try to defend that position.

Though the budget benchmark was $1 - 650/750, I'm not sure they will be able to achieve that.

All in all, for the short term, the naira should stabilize.
I read the excess liquidity has come from FDI these past weeks as against policy decisions.
It buys us time to set our house in order, for stability supply just has to meet demand.
As a business man, one needs to stay ready

The only thing that saved me was that the hospital we used St Raphael was a catholic hospital and during the time they wanted to carry out my wife CS, they told me to go buy 2 pint of blood. I have to source for extra 50k for the 2 points but when I got to the cashier to pay, they were doing 3pm mass prayer, i went back to the Mother & Child building just to be told my wife has already been wheeled into the theater, it was the matron nurse on duty that told me not to bother buying the blood because they have successfully brought our baby out and just rounding up the surgery.

The other lady that gave birth through CS after my wife, the husband already paid for 2 pint of blood, they didnt use it and yet they said the money is non refundable.

The man shout tire, shishi they didnt refund.
Too funny...

Nairaland / General / Re: Why You Always Get 45kg In A 50kg Gas Cylinder Refill - Here May Be The Reason by Tochex101(m): 9:24pm On Feb 28
healthmister01:
Well, for what I have known, no digital scale is truly accurate, at least to an extent. Look, there are many factors that determines what a tank will weigh. And for 50kg gas cylinders, it seems like the older version is even more heavier than the recent version. This is because, the scale weight of a gas cylinder doesn't actually mean that's what it can contain. That is where LPG worth (LW) comes to play. LPG worth means the actual liquid that should or can be filled in that particular gas cylinder. You can check out all these technical details on the bottom ring side of every 50kg gas cylinders.

Also, there is the net weight, gross weight or tare weight - this is the weight of an empty gas cylinder. This is can also be the total weight of the gas cylinder, including the handle top and the bottom ring. A 50kg gas cylinder is not actually 50kg.

So here is the thing, take away the handle top and the bottom ring, what you will have is the LPG worth (LW). This is why I always recommend the Calor 50kg gas cylinder, which can contain 100.2 litres of LPG. Convert that back to kg, then you will escape the cut-off valve. Every 50kg gas cylinder comes with cut-off valve, which helps prevent overfilling. I don't know how the technology was installed, but what I know is that the cut-off valve has a 88% percentage refill point. Once you are getting to that point, it will just cut-off the refill. You won't know, neither will the gas refilling operator. The remaining will become pressure or vapour, so to help for more space inside the gas cylinder. Yes, I know some 50kg can contain more than 50kg, even goes as containing 60kg

What you don't know is that, the conversion of liquid back to gasous state happens at the top of every gas cylinders.

What if overfilling causes cooking gas shortage?

So, just save your money. Instead of saying that you want to refill 50kg, tell the operator that, I would like to refill 45kg or 40kg.

Remember, knowledge is power.
Nice peace OP..
Does same apply to filling 12.5kg cylinders.....
Filling 11.5 or 12kg to beat the cut off value?

In my area, cement is scarce now. Because of the scarcity, the price of a bag of cement has now increased from around #5, 400 to around 7k.

I still cannot think of a reason why cement should be scarce.

I even had to buy 2 of these 3 bags from a neighbour.
