Hoarded fuel should be sold to Nigerians free-NNPC

The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation has directed that depot or filling station caught hoarding product, the substance should be sold to Nigerians free of charge, just as it hinted that collaboration of the Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR), Petroleum Products Pricing Regulatory Agency (PPPRA) and security agencies, surveillance and monitoring had been beefed up.

It disclosed that truck out of 1,300 of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) from its depots daily, where measures that assisted in clearing fuel scarcity witnessed across the country.

The Managing Director, Petroleum Products Marking Company (PPMC), Dr Umaru Ajiya, stated that as part of the corporation measure to discourage habit of hoarding products and creating unnecessary panics, NNPC had passed order against depots or filling station who were of such habit of taking advantage of situation in the country.

The Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, has officially annouced that he would be returning to the Peoples democratic Party (PDP), which he left barely four years ago, justifying his resignation from the ruling party, All Progressive Congress (APC), few weeks ago.

Atiku, who made the declaration during facebook livestream on Sunday at his hometown in Adamawa State, clarified that issue that led to his exit from PDP has been resolved and that he was now back to the party he assisted in founding 17 years ago.

He said, “From today, I want to let you that I am returning home to the PDP as the issue that led me to leave it has now been resolved.”

He said APC had led people, especially Nigerian youths, down and that rather giving a wrong political speech on the matter, it would be better to invite Nigerians to ask questions on relevant issues.

S'African private clinic operator states intention against Britain medical organization's offer

A South African private hospital group, Mediclinic, has stated that there was no intention to place out offer for whole of a Britian's Sphire Healthcare as been asserted by stakeholders and other concerned members of public.

The company said on Monday after discussions with some of Spire’s directors that it had no plan to make an offer for the rest of Britain’s Spire Healthcare (SPI.L), rejecting a full takeover of the organization.
