If all she needs to buy are soup ingridents, she should be able to manage 20k for a month but with food stuffs like yam,bag of rice etc,she should be able to mange 40k at least food stuffs can last you guys for at least 2 months or more.

There are some reasons why it's confusing

If there are bulk food stuff at home, then it's lots easier to calculate

If there are no bulk food stuff at home, it's more complex to calculate

But I think you ought to know if wifey is extravagant or economical

On the average, 50,000 can be enough without food stuff and 30000 with food stuff at home, excluding provisions but including bread for breakfast

Your children ate still small, I don't think you will be having issues feeding them no matter your budget

If you and your wife are doing big guys but giving them more of cereals and their ages are above three years, then that's where the extra cost is coming from

After two years, a normal child should eat what other family members are eating

Left for children, they don't like agricultural food, they prefer cereals, beverages and noodles.

You are the one providing nit them, do it's time you let them know what good its good for them and enforce it, with the sight of a cane, they will cooperate

To start with, since your kids are still very young, cereals and milk should have a constant fix in the budget, unless they don't like it.

A big sized cereal and a can of milk should do for a week. Snacks... Fruits...

As for the rest, it'll now depend on what you like eating.

Secondly, you failed to mention the area you're concerned, is it feeding expenses or general expense which might include transportation to work and back, money for hairdo, electricity bill, water bill, gas refill and what not, the list is totally endless, so please be precise with such enquires.
