A waste of time and resources. Nigerian election is not determined by vote casting but by strategy, intimidation by the powers that be, rigging and bribing INEC. Better learn.

In as much as Emefiele is not a saint, but every Nigerian in high positions does same, Buhari did same and gave Juicy contracts to his nephews and in-laws; Jagaban is doing same even going beyond contracts to drafting his children as part of the government by being part of official state visits - The Quatar case is example.
Politics / Re: Hardship: “Tinubu Has Done Well, Nigeria Is So Complex” – Buhari Declares by tonesky(m): 7:59pm On Mar 11
But this man promised change and also cried when he saw the massive stealing during PDP regime. Surprisingly the looting during his time dwarfed the entire 16 years of PDP. I am sure in his closest " he will be praying for forgiveness and shame would not allow him to apologize to Saint Jonathan. APC has indeed made PDP a saint in Nigeria. True confession from "FAILURE " personified.

Politics / Re: Economic hardship caused by Buhari-led administration - Gov Mutfwang by tonesky(m): 10:52am On Mar 05
Actually, the last administration spearheaded what we experience today but with due respect, Tinubu said at the heat of 2019 election when Bubu was seeking for a second tenure that he preferred a Buhari on wheel chair than any other competent candidate. May be because of his personal interest. As long as Nigerians continue to select their leaders on personal interest, tribalism, religious sentiment, clannishness, bigotry we would never get it right for the wages of sin is death.

The pastor may be right though, however the ministration came late after he has become so rich from same source he is speaking against. Is he going to sell off all the assets and give the proceeds to the poor? Or he is tired of making money. Honestly, something isn't adding up.

Rubbish! Trying to defend a defenceless action. Subsidy was not provided in the budget but bullet proof cars of 160m for national assembly members were provided. Indeed, you can't sneak into the house through the window and start cleaning the house.

My dear Bishop, with due respect Sir, you goofed on this. Insecurity in Nigeria is a serious concern to every Nigerian and it has no destination. It can catch up with anyone at anytime. People travel from East to North and vise versa let's team up and salvage our dear country and stop all these ethic profiling that has done more harm than good to us. Life is transient and I don't know if Awolowo, Azikiwe and Tafawa Balewa of the blessed memories still identify themselves over there as Igbo, Hausa or Yoruba. Let us all be wise.

Medicine after death Indeed. If it took INEC one year to window dress and fine-tune 2023 election rigging; Kudos to them as I understood how difficult it is to rig election. It's another project all together but with the suffering in the land, it is clear that to steal is not the problem but sharing and keeping the proceeds of the loot is the Koko. Weldone INEC.

Politics / Re: Hardship: Tinubu Inherited Failed Economy - Gbenga Daniel by tonesky(m): 9:10pm On Feb 19
joggyko:
…..pleads with Nigerians to show understanding

The Senator representing Ogun East Senatorial District at the National Assembly, Otunba Gbenga Daniel has attributed the current hardship being faced by Nigerians to a failed economy inherited by President Bola Tinubu.
Daniel, a former governor of Ogun State, who disclosed this during his ‘thank you tour’ of Ijebu Ode local government area of the State, said President Tinubu is working round the clock to find solutions to the economic challenges facing the nation.

He therefore pleaded with Nigerians to show understanding and cooperate with the present administration, as it remains committed to a more prosperous nation.

Daniel added that he was quite aware just like the government of the day that there is hunger in the land, saying that this prompted him to lend helping hand with the monthly distribution of over 12,000 food packs containing rice, beans, garri and semovita to the people of his Constituency.

Aside from the distribution of over 12,000 food packs to the people at the event, empowerment tools such as sowing machines, generators and grinding machines, among others, were also handed over to the people.

He said, “really, things might not be so good as we want it, but I want to plead with you my people to show understanding because our President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu inherited what we can call a failed economy. All what he is trying to do now is to find solution to the challenges”.

“I want to assure you that there is light at the end of the tunnel and our country will be better for it. The President needs our cooperation now than ever before and I am assuring you that just very soon everything will be fine with us”

Daniel reiterated that he was committed to using his representation at the senate to facilitate different laudable projects that will make life more meaningful to the residents of Ogun East.
He disclosed that within his nine months in the senate, he has facilitated over 2,000 employments for the teeming youths of the senatorial district, while a Naval Base in Abigi, Ogun Waterside local government, as well as an Aviation School at Ilara Remo in Remo North local government will take off before the end of the year.
He added that in addition to renovation of schools as well as giving of free interest loans to traders, he has equally partnered with an Eye Foundation to assist with free surgeries for people with eye problems, saying that the first batch of 20 beneficiaries every month just had their successful surgeries.

While promising never to relent in supporting the residents of the senatorial district to upscale their welfare, the former governor said that the local government tour would be a monthly affair until all the nine local governments in the senatorial district are covered.

This is nonesense. This same Tinubu in 2019 said he would rather support a Buhari on wheel Chair than for Atiku to come onboard due to selfish interest. Mr. Snatch it, grab it and run away with it; stop the blame game and fix the economy.

DeLaRue:
Saying Tinubu knew what he was going to meet in government is ridiculous.

So, Tinubu knew Nigeria had only $3.7billion in its foreign reserve, not the $37 billion that the Buhari government led the country to believe.

Did Tinubu know that Emefiele, Buhari's assistant Tunde, and the Aso Rock gang stole billions of dollars and trillions of Naira?

Did Tinubu know that the Buhari government has sold most of the country's future oil production, collected the dollars and spent/stole it all?

Did Tinubu know that the past government was effectively handing over a virtually bankrupt country to him.

Why should Tinubu not blame the past government.

Politics / Re: FG, States Are Considering The Creation Of State Police by tonesky(m): 5:10pm On Feb 15
Decentralising policing is a good idea but I have a few concerns. One, state governors would use it as an instrument of oppression against opposition, secondly it may showcase nepotism and tribalism especially when there's a case between an indigene of a state and non-indigene( there may not be fairness and justice not served). Thirdly, the way Nigeria is heading to; police officers families may become targets by the supposed criminals. Instead of state police, I would suggest Geo- political policing using the 6 geopolitical zones as federating units where the officers would posted interchangeably. Also funding should not be the exclusive of the state governors.
