There was confusion in the Sabon Tasha area of Kaduna State on Saturday following a gas explosion.

The Kogi State Police Command has said about 28 houses and vehicles were razed by gunmen in the Tawari community among others.

According to a report by NAN, some gunmen have killed no fewer than 15 people in the Tawari community in the Kogi Local Government Area of Kogi State, burning buildings, including the palace of the king of the community.

Four children were among those killed after a military plane crashed a few minutes after takeoff in the Sudanese town of El Geneina.
