tdammy:LOl, never could believe someone is also experiencing this, but the truth bro. is that am just confused, don't know the way forward. yours is even better because you can go for masters in computer related field without PGD but from geology i must pass through PGD. |
I am a graduate of the university of Benin, studied geology, but recently i am beginning to realise that most offers in geology are more of how experienced one is. however, i have always had this passion for information technology because i did OND in computer engineering in polynekede, i also have gotten basic knowledge on Oracle DBM and Mysql. like everyone knows, one can easily find an offer in information tech. than in geology especially someone without any form of experience like me. i am faced with this dilemma as i don't know if i should; 1.take direct entry into 200L for a fresh degree for 3yrs, or 2.go for pgd in information tech.(I.T) (2yrs) 3. or just continue in geology and hope on GOD. considering option 2. i feel its useless because every information tech job i have seen always says bachelors degree in I.T or related field, so i wonder if PGD can serve for that. and also considering option 1. there is almost no time left so one yr would be another big thing. please i need someone to advice me before i make mistakes. and please don't ask me why i went ahead to study geology cause it was the only express route to gaining a university admission then, was in my yr 2 (N.D2) in poly when i opted for it. and this mentality of 'you can work anywhere' amongst undergraduates is a case study we all should review. thanks as you comment your advises. |
