It is with real heaviness in my heart that I create this thread... d senate of Abia State University headed by the Vice Chancellor has decided to suspend the executives of the Abia State University Medical Students Association thereby crippling all the medical and social activities planned by this great association... it is equally appalling that the reason given for this injustice is the fact that the medical students protested the lack of light in their campus at Absuth few months and brought nationwide attention to it by posting it here on nairaland.....it is wickedness of the highest order to punish medical students for doing the right thing..for requesting the restoration of basic amenities which would make us better medical doctors... we want to implore on NIMSA and other well-meaning Nigerians to come to our aid and to quell the high-handedness of this vice-chancellor

It is a real pity that the senate of Abia State University has decided to suspend the executives of the Abia State University Medical Students Association for protesting the lack of light few months ago...it is very disheartening that the school authority has chosen such a move and every effort to plead with them has fallen on deaf ears...we therefore want to take advantage of the popularity of nairaland to bring this matter to the notice of all well-meaning individuals in the education sector...we also want to implore NIMSA and FIMSA to come to our aid...the leadership capability of future medical doctors cannot be undermined for doing the right thing....thank u very much
