Music/RadioRe: What Type Of Saxophone And Keyboard Should I Buy? by topedare22: 8:26pm On Oct 04, 2013
jackal001: I have long been nursing interest in playing musical instruments as a hobby. I am particularly interested in saxophone and piano keyboard.
I noticed that the Saxophone has the Alto, Soprano and Tenor types. I get confused because I don't know which one to go for. But basically I need the one that can play harmonious music solo (alone and not requiring other musical instrument to make sense of songs played) e.g. playing the Kenny G type of music. I also came across the 'flat' and 'sharp' musical jargons which is all the more confusing to me. I almost bought the alto type b4 I realize there are others too.

As for the keyboard, though it's not much of an issue, I'll still appreciate any information that will guide me in making a good choice. I know brands like Yamaha, Casio, etc exist.
Let me point out that I am just a beginner for both instruments. Infact an intended beginner because I've not started learning them yet.

Nairalanders please tell me which type of the Sax and keyboard will serve my need. I count on you for good guidance. Thanks a lot.
You can start with a soprano sax, and as for the keyboard; yamaha is always the best quality, any psr range would be gud; probably a psr e213 as u're just starting out.
