Manchelsea:Where are you located? Is it a laptop you need? If you are in Lagos and you need a laptop, Go to Pack 'n' Shop in Adeola Odeku in Victoria Island and buy a Brand New laptop with genuine warranty. I don't work there but equally a customer. I have stopped going to most of these road side shops in Ikeja (computer village) and others to buy "brand new" items. I am tired of their deceits. Most systems in pack and shop are latest gadgets on display. |

@truerebel and @lummyguy, haven read both stories I can readily relate to both emotions. @truerebel, pay more attention to human resources and legal arm of your business. From what I have read, you sometimes take drastic steps before realizing you were too harsh. RULE NO 1: NEVER CALL BACK AN EMPLOYEE YOU HAVE FIRED UNLESS YOU ARE ON A MISSION. (same employee is equally on a mission). @lummyguy, NEVER SLAM A DOOR BEHIND YOU WHEN YOU ARE LEAVING BECAUSE YOU MIGHT NEED SAME DOOR TO WALK THROUGH SOME DAY. The world is way too small for these acts of yours to a former employer. I think you both have alot to learn on www.topflightceo.com |
The primary reason for financial problems in life is lack of self discipline, self mastery, and self control. It is the inability to delay gratification in the short term. It is the tendency for people to spend everything they earn and a little more besides, usually supplemented by loans and credit card debt. The Reasons for Financial Problems The primary reason that most adults have financial problems is not because of low earnings. The reason is lack of self discipline and the inability to delay gratification. Why is this weakness of character so prevalent among the majority of adults in society today? It goes back to early childhood. READ MORE http://topflightceo.com/?p=498

....And someone will still get up and say some employments are not modern day of slavery even if you are earning $10, 000, 000 a month. Be your own boss with a vision and a bigger vision for your employees.

MissMeiya:I know that. You don't just wake up and change a 'brand's" name no matter who owns it. And never use a sub generic name for a product name. The rules are just too numerous to mention here and for you to understand.

As a brand strategist, i can clearly state that Nokia should brace up as their market share is about to go South. There are just certain rules of branding and marketing that should be adhered to. Unfortunate, most of these big companies pay millions of dollars annually for their marketing research but still yet make this sort of drastic mistakes.

Nigeria is a country known for little or no labor law so it is not surprising when you see employers exhibit some extremely callous traits without the helpless employee having nowhere to run to for justice. The only Industrial courts takes a minimum of 5 years to pass judgment on disputes between employers and employees and in most cases advice both parties to go and settle out of court. Below is some of treatments employers’ exhibit to their employees and even brag about it. • Owing his workers several month salary and yet still screams and threaten fire and brimstone if the employee resumes work a few minutes late. • Refusing to offer an employment later with the intention of not fulfilling most of the agreement which were verbally stated previously. • Owing workers and vendors but still boast of acquiring the latest auto mobile and going on vacation with family members. • Making employees carryout assignment out of what was stated and agreed to as the employee’s scope of duty. • Refusing to pay salary till the 10th day of the following month just as a strategy to tie down employees on your job as against resigning for fear of them forfeiting the unpaid salary. • Making employees work later than the agreed working hours and also enforcing weekend and public holiday work without paying them bonuses or allowance. • Transforming office staff to run domestic duties like following madam to the market to go shop for the house or going to pick your children from school. • Openly encouraging your female staff to sell their bodies once it will translate to bringing in contract for your business. • Physically attacking employees. • Emotionally and psychologically bullying employees by uttering very sensitive words at them. • Openly condemning one staff in from of another and trying to cause enmity amongst staff. • Showing of favorism amongst staff. • Telling employees to lie to visitors and creditors on your behalf.
