You just mentioned that Igbos are against it because the road doesn't pass through SE, don't you think they have the right to do so considering they make most of the importation and need such road most?

Coastal Road isn't an urgency and can be built later. Now common sense dictates you complete the east west road before embarking on a new road. The east west road is not completed, the portion done are in bad shape yet you start a new road

Present government wants a standard and fast road from Lagos to calabar, the present east west road will be difficult to upgrade to a fast and super highway because it is not straight in order to connect to many towns and cities.
Also, there will be a lot of demolitions if east west road will be upgraded to super highway.
I resided in calabar before and now in Rivers State, we spend and waste a lot of time to travel to South West.
With super highway, the journey will be smooth and fast.
Present government has not stopped work on the present east west road
Do you know there was old Lagos Ibadan road that enters different towns before reaching lbadan from Lagos but it wastes time and longer, the new express way is shorter and faster.
