In the recently concluded Presidential Debate, 2019, President Muhammadu Buhari, the All Progressive Congress (APC) has given his reason for not participating in the Presidential Debate. The Presidential Debate 2019 was organized by Nigeria Elections Debate Group (NEDG) and the Broadcasting Organisation of Nigeria (BON) on Saturday 19th January 2019. President Buhari was supposed to participate in the Presidential Debate alongside Atiku Abubakar(PDP), Oby Ezekwesili (ACPN), Fela Durutoye (ANN), Kingsley Moghalu (YPP). We will recall that Atiku Abubakar pulled out of the Presidential Debate because President Buhari who was supposed to attend failed to show up. He, however, requested that since Buhari was not in attendance, that he will not participate in the debate and urged Buhari to choose a date to debate with him and hopefully other Presidential candidates will be present. However, in the Presidential Debate 2015, President Buhari also refused to show up son Nigerians weren’t really expecting him to show up this time. In the last minutes move by APC to save their about to be damaged imaged by PDP, released a report claiming that Buhari did not attend because of his schedule and carefully refused to pick a date as Atiku requested since the schedule was the problem. Earlier last week, we have witnessed a series of Social media challenge. First, it was the 10 years Challenge, the came the Ex vs Current Challenge. The 10 Years Challenge was such that you post a profile photo of you 10 years ago adjacent your current profile photo. The challenge after gaining popularity was made to be more entertaining by participants in which they began to post photos of even animals and buildings on what they used to look like with what they are currently. The Ex vs Current challenge was started but did not gain popularity like the 10 years challenge. Armed Force Remembrance day in Nigeria is the day that Nigeria fallen Heroes in the military are remembered for their efforts in securing the Nation and for the lives that were lost in doing that. The Deputy Governor of Borno State His Excellency Usman Mamman Durkwa Had a ghastly motor accident on his way to Gombe. His convoy was returning from a condolence visit to the Government of Nasarwa over the death of Emir of Lafia. They were headed to Gombo from Nasarawa when the accident occurred. From reports, the Deputy Governor was not hurt but four Policemen who were in the convoy lost their lives.
