practicals carry considerable mark but there's still hope.....just tackle your physics theory and objective with the mind of not missing any question...i had same experience when i wrote waec.it was in my chemistry practical....i fuked up in the practical,but i wrote the theory and objective with the mentality of not missing just a single question and to the glory of God i passed it........so tackle the theory and objective......all shall be well pls what was your grade in the chemistry |

I don't know if they've changed the whole system...cos the last time I had information on WAEC marking scheme, the physics practical and chemistry practical marking scheme were similar.
The practical carries 50marks, the obj carries 50marks (biology pratical carries 80 marks I think) and the theory 100 totaling 200 of which would be divided by 2 to determine your percentage.
That was years ago...it might be different now.
Anyways good luck and study hard for your remaining papers. pls do you know how dey calculate the percentage,my friend told me that the obj and theory sum up 150 which will be divided by 3 to give u fifty.then he said waec will now plus the 50 to the fifty from practical to sum up to 100.pls is this correct |

It all depends on the type of marker that handled your paper and the person that checked it.
This is how WAEC results are determined. The marker will mark and pass the paper to the checker [through their supervisor]the checker cross-checks everything to see if any mark was added or subtracted, so if you are praying for a kind marker, also pray for a nice checker because both of them will not even meet each other to determine your fate.
i have seen cases where someone scored 77 and the marker recorded 17, if not for the checker who rectified the problem that candidate would have failed that paper. And i've also seen cases where a kind marker will add marks to candidates who dnt make well and the checker will report the paper then the mark will come down. so just pray for both sides ok?
