Dr Esther Eyiuche Uchendu of the Department of Agronomy, University of Ibadan, has won the 2018 Young Scientist Award by the Society for In Vitro Biology (SIVB), Raleigh, North Carolina, USA.

A statement from the Vice Chancellor (VC), University of Ibadan (UI), Prof. Idowu Olayinka, reveals that the letter of award by the SIVB President, dated 2nd March 2018, says the award is in recognition of her contributions and achievements in the In Vitro sciences. As a scientist her ‘involvement and dedication within the Society has impacted the careers of many students, young scientists and colleagues’.


Says the VC University of Ibadan, Prof Idowu Olayinka. “We are delighted that Dr Uchendu is on our Faculty. I am sure you will join me in congratulating her while wishing her further successes in her career,” Prof Olayinka stated.

Is the eggs for hatching? I want to play with trying to hatch a few eggs and see how it works, for a little over $100 there is an incubator that have the capacity to hatch 48 eggs. I have not looked into parent stock and have no idea how to raise them, Is that what you are doing? I bought 200 layers and 200 cockerel, they are just between 3 and 4 weeks now, but they will be growing together.

No. Jamb dos not need ur transciprt. only d school u ar going needs it, dat is if the sch request anyway.

I wanto make this clear t the house. though it is my opinion ayway. I think Jamb has nothing to d with the sch chosen as second choice. so have at the bac of ur mind dat ur choosing a sch as second choie is just to fulfill al righteousness and u may not get admission from the school. i have my easn for saying this. I went to Jamb office to submit my credentials. der, i was asked to fill a register. i filled d register. D woman now asked me my 1st choice of sch, i answered. so she pointed to me a place in her office where each insitutions in Nigeria have different folders. she asked me to go and put my credentials inside dat folder for 1st choice institution. i also aw anoda register inside d folder wer i kept my credentials. she asledme to fill that register also. Now my opinion is dat Jamb will only take out credentials to our 1st choice of insitution. d second choice we filled is as good as nothing.

yes University of Ibadan accepts two sittings. but only to supplement complement results in your first sitting.

for example if you make c6 in physics in your first sitting tender it and not your second sitting where maybe you made a1.

use second sitting for only failed subjects and not low grades.

I hope d sch will not eventually use dat as a factor to cut some candidate off if they av many candidate for a particular course, I mean wen der is tie, too many aspirant which is more dan d capacity d department can admit.
