It’s no longer news that a new king has emerged in Ile-Ife, Osun state in person of Prince Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi of the Giesi ruling house after some rigorous screening exercises. Of course moments before now made a lot of people anticipated like a jambite awaiting admission. Likewise, in the city of Nigerian music, there has also been a royal vacuum due to the long absence of a ruling king. This however placed a wanted sign for the music throne. Attempts to fill the vacuum were made by a lot but failure was their order, most of them lacked enough depth to anchor down their totems while the billows roll. Behold once a steadfast man who was almost dead and gone after facing the giants on his way from “Mushin To Mo’hits” is back in town to enjoy his victory over the Kicks thrown at him by the Mafians and Mavins of the kingdom. However, for his irrepressible brute force, he became the most wanted and a priceless bounty was placed on him because he was the Black Diamond. Being a fearless man, he unleashed his desired self with a loud roar like “Iskaba!” today 26th October, Now the talk of the town, he was the wanted king, his name is Wande Coal! After a convincing style with two smashing hits, Woju and Laye, Cute looking singer, Kiss Daniel proves he deserves his own dedicated listening audience. Although the singer’s versatility is still being doubted by many. Kiss Daniel who seems to be more concerned about his listening and vulnerable audience, decided to take a bold step further with an unusual attack on DJ Shabsy’s ‘Rabba’ and yes that gave him a rope to rest his back on as some now considered him to be expansive. However, in the stunt to flaunt his versatility, Kiss Daniel recently dropped a new joint ‘Molue’ and featured a rookie like himself, Sugar Boi in it. Well the so called rookie has been tested and checked okay in a previous song ‘Rabba’ and he’s obviously not ready to let loose of the rope ladder to stardom tower as he delivered strikingly well in the new kiss Daniel song ‘Molue’. Kiss Daniel on the other hand who is supposed to be the 007 or Jackie Chan of his own song rather fell off the gymnastic balance. Injuries sustained by kiss as to this stunt failure cannot be ascertained yet, until all measures are fully calculated and considered. We could barely hear what cute boy Kiss was whispering in his verses and the lyrics that actually managed to get into our ear drums where not deep enough for us to even say ‘Hmmmmm’ All of these stunts now makes kiss Daniel look like he was just miming to Sugar Boi’s song instead. Video was of a low budget but of course good quality. The question now is, this cute little man is too good looking and talented in his own way to be hit off track by ‘Molue’, so how do we save Kiss Daniel?. He paid to trend this song everyday for about 14 days but the song is yet to trend on people’s lips, video is out now and no one is really enthusiastic about it. Should Kiss Daniel get off the Molue ride and go back to his ‘No be You i carry come but na you i wan carry go‘ haulage? else he gets hit by that same Molue? The 2015 edition of Headies took place last night in the totality of conscious mental process and activity of my mind. Anyways, just like football betting, making result predictions, here are the possible winners, wild cards and spoilers ahead of Headies 2015. I call this “2015 Headies ABA (Awards Before Award)” PRODUCER OF THE YEAR 1. Don Jazzy – Godwin (Korede Bello) 2. Mastakraft – Wiser (Flavour) 3. Young John – Bobo (Olamide) 4. Shizzi – Fans Mi (DavidO) 5. Legendury Beatz – Ojuelegba 6. Cobhams – There’s A Fire (Bez) All of these producers have been great and amazing during the year under review, so they all deserve to win. But for an individual responsible for producing the most acclaimed song of the year, then Legendary Beatz would have it straight up for Ojuelegba. A strong wildcard is Don jazzy with Godwin who also won in this same category last year. Young John the wicked producer also stand a great chance but shakiti Bobo and Godwin came a little bit later than Ojuelegba. But if headies would give us a spoiler, then shizzi would have it for fanz mi because been nominated in this category with fanz mi already is a spoiler. BEST MUSIC VIDEO 1. Jamb Question (Simi) – Mex 2. Crazy (Seyi Shay) – Meji Alabi 3. The Sound (DavidO Feat. Uhuru & Dj Buckz) – Sesan 4. Katapot (Reekado Banks) – UnLimited LA 5. Baby Jollof (Solid Star Feat. Tiwa Savage) – Clarence Peters Best Video in terms of quality, concept and how exciting the video is, trust me, the year under review struggled to get nominees in this category. Many videos obviously lacked concept that year but then it has to be Jamb Question (Simi) by MEX over the rest If ‘The Sound (DavidO Feat. Uhuru & Dj Buckz) – Sesan‘ won’t take the throne by voting. BEST R&B/POP ALBUM 1. Bed of Stone – Asa 2. A.Y.O. – Wizkid 3. King of Queens – Yemi Alade 4. Rich & Famous – Praiz 5. Double Trouble – Psquare First..of all Psquare’s albums, double trouble is he wackest but then it’s still enough trouble considering the Albums listed in this category. Yemi Alade’s King Of Queens did absolutely well with lot of smashing hits and so it deserves to be crowned king in this category. Meanwhile for a wildcard, A.Y.O from star boy wizzy got all it takes to stay aloft as well. BEST R&B SINGLE 1. Heartbeat – Praiz 2. Mr. Oreo – Iyanya 3. Say You Love Me – Leriq ft. Wizkid 4. Do the Right Thing – Cobhams Ft. Bez 5. Wish Me Well – Timi Dakolo All the songs in this category is a perfect fit and that makes it really tough decide. But with timi Dakolo’s wish me well in this category, it will be a spoiler for him not to take the lead. BEST POP SINGLE 1. Ojuelegba – Wizkid 2. Collabo – P-Square Feat. Don Jazzy 3. My Woman, My Everything – Patoranking Feat. Wande Coal 4. Woju – Kiss Daniel 5. Godwin – Korede Bello 6. Bobo – Olamide There’s absolutely no song on this category that will blare from whatever speaker and not transform your energy to a kinetic one. They are so infectious to the point that you won’t know when you will start singing along, even in your worst moment. They all birthed hilarious internet memes and the vibes was real wide. But still only for the sake of sentiments would any song in this category have it over WOJU by the new rookie in the block, Kiss Daniel considering the fact that the song dropped earlier than the rest and still anchored to stay relevant despite its kind of different sound, style and dim level of influence in the industry. With no further say, Best POP goes to WOJU – Kiss Daniel. Read more at: http://greennews.ng/headies-2015-see-list-of-winners-predictions/ |
Veteran stand up comedian, Ali baba has expressed his deep displeasure in domestic violence, thereby advising anyone found in such circumstance to flee without hesitating. This would not be the first time the ace comedian is condemning such act in the society, but he feels some still live in the hope of the violator turning new leafs which might not happen or perhaps things already got worst to the point it can never be undone. In Ali baba’s message to the domestic violence victims, he said; I have written about domestic violence before. And when I did, I was very clear. That anyone who is this kind of circumstance, yet continues to live in the hope the violator will turn a new leaf, may not live to tell the story. I even went as far as saying it must mean you are enjoying it to still sit there. For what?!!! Sadly, I have heard people say, it’s not easy to walk away from such abusive relationships. Where will they go? And I ask, if it’s not easy, is death easier? Ohoooo!!! Because we have seen it happen time and time again. Read more at: http://greennews.ng/if-your-partner-slaps-you-please-flee-asap-ali-baba/ So once again I repeat, if you are in a relationship where you are slapped, kicked, head butted, flogged like a slave, raped,… Don’t wait till that your black eye clears, or the swelling reduces, or the pain subsides, or some family members come to settle the matter, your pastor tells you to take it to the Lord in prayer, or some friends tell you it’s a sign that he loves you and you are sold hope of change, or told I am sorry with some irresistible gifts… DONT WAIT… Fleeeeeee! Activate your “Fleedom”!!!!! Because if you don’t wake up from your love jones… Your wake keeping will be after the fact. I don talk my own. |
Triple MG Boss, Ubi Franklin has sent subliminal adorative messages to former Governor of Lagos State, Babatunde Raji Fashola (SAN) for his smart and intelligent manner of presentation and answering of questions during the on-going screening of the Ministerial Nominees. Again the crazy TV host, Denrele Edun has refused to be left out in the “No Bra Day” that was celebrated yesterday October 13 by women all over the world to raise awareness for breast cancer. In his way of showing solidarity to the cause, the funny media personality stripped himself off his usual weird attire, hugging another unidentified topless human with an unclear gender as seen in picture above. It can be recalled Denrele Edun did the same last year as well. We just hope the unidentified person he observed the ‘No Bra Day’ this year is a female. Read more at: http://greennews.ng/?p=33541

With artiste’s rate ranging between six and seven figures, international collaborations and even endorsements from prominent international brands, it is indeed safe to say the Nigerian Music Industry is growing. But then what is growth in music without a stem from the depth of lyrics. madmusicOver these recent years, we have seen Nigerian artiste move from deep stirring and emotive lyrics to some not just vulgar but repetitive lyrics, yet making amazing and record breaking sales. It is hard to ignore the fact that music in Nigeria today has moved from pretty simple lyrics to words that you will never find in any dictionary existing or yet to exist. Please how do you explain the meaning of Olamide’s “Shakiti Bobo” or “Sneh”? having it in mind that these tracks dropped back to back. Kindly take a moment to resound Wizkid’s ‘In My Bed’ …i want your body sleeping in my bed e you got me going crazy oh girl, i can’t explain it your body so insane oh girl, i can’t replace you you gat me going crazy ohh girl, i can’t explain it your body so insane ohh girl, i can’t replace you… How funny and disconnecting is it to suddenly accompany such sensual lyrics with the names of politicians, thugs and streets huh? Not forgetting the Marvins; a group of six, coming up with “Dorobucci” without a clear definition of the word. While pondering on that, what was “Peteru” really doing in the Skuki song? Ever asked yourself one thing you can possibly pick out of Konga’s debut song “Jasi Konga” which happens to be one of the pioneering tracks of these psychotic lyrical trends. Now with these type of lyrics that are being dished out today by Nigerian artistes, it would be pretty harder than ever for a newer artiste to get noticed without following up on this same trend. The big question is; What has changed in the Nigerian Music scene? Is it the psyche or the choice of the listening audience? source: http://ghemedia.com/the-nigerian-music-industry-is-it-the-psyche-or-the-choice-of-the-listening-audience/

John Olabode Wesley is a young Nigerian aspiring to contest in the 2015 presidential elections under IPC..here is an exclusive interview with him Can We Meet You Sir? I am Olabode John Wesley by name, a Nigerian by citizenship, a Film Manager and Media Practitioner by profession and a Member of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Interesting! Member of The Federal Republic. When was this honour conferred on you? Well, unlike every other existing MFR in Nigeria who got the honour conferred on them by one means or the other, mine is different. I realized that as a Nigerian we all belong to the Federal Republic just like anyone who belongs to any professional institute or organisation is regarded as a member of the organisation, so I came about my own MFR honour naturally as a Nigerian. Because I am a Nigerian in all ramifications, and Nigeria is a Federal Republic, therefore I am a Member of that Republic which unquestionably automatically accords me the title of MFR (Member of the Federal Republic). What Triggered Your Interest To Contest For President and Not Other Office? My interest to contest in the first place wasn't for the general purpose Nigerians are used to and contesting for the Office of the President was a major purpose I will definitely make known much later. Be that as it may, I am a very political conscious Nigerian, an uncompromising Comrade and not one like the Come and Raids. I am driven by vision and purpose towards the emergence of New Nigeria devoid of corrupt leaders, public servants and followers. My heart loudly clamours for a CHANGE expressly different from the politically desired Change. When I say politically desired Change, I simply imply that, some political institutions desire Change but what comes to mind is what kind of Change do they really want to effect? Is it Change in the way things are done administratively? Change in all sectors? Change in human disposition? Change in orientation or just a change in political leadership of the affairs of the Nation? That desired CHANGE is one to see through the emergence of a Youth oriented leadership and solomonic political system. What Plans Do You Have For Nigerians If You Emerge As President? What our agenda carries is an Egalitarian society for all Nigerians. Like I said earlier, we are out on a course to do an entire overhauling of the system and to straighten all bended cords. Our major focus under an Egalitarian society falls into three which are: 1. Agriculture 2. Education 3. Power Over the years, we have identified serious setback in these three major sector of our economy and as such can do more in these sector to ensure sustenance of our economy. We all cannot be Bankers, Doctors, Engineers and Politicians without anyone building up a career around Agriculture. We also cannot continue make plans towards raising a Mega Nation with modern infrastructures without basic education on the importance of these things and its maintenance. All these will not survive excellently well if we decide run all its life span on power generator without building up a constant power supply source. Imagine the number of graduates being churned out of the University every year and then they go to serve for one wasted year without gaining anything from the government. Imagine a situation whereby all corpers don't have to teach in the classroom alone but also have to be farmers in a well conducive environment with all necessary mechanism to engage in farming and sure relaxation recreation to wind off at the end of everyday work on a farm nourishedly controlled by the government. Imagine a young graduate of Economics taking up a farming job and getting a Peugot 306 as an official car for a start and self-contained en suit apartment for his comfort working on the farm and contributing to the growth of the Nation as he happily feeds the Nation. Even you before me will like enjoy such comfort as a farmer. The education sector also ensures that all Nigerian child gain access to free basic quality education and thereafter be exposed to the privilege of making a choice which vocational know he/ she will like to acquire. Remember, 85percent of vocational knowledge acquired requires constant power supply for it to survive without having to worry over power failure thereby stalling the business. With all these in place, every other development will survive and a stable economy can be guaranteed. Can You Tell Us About Your Party? Independent Progressive Congress is new online operational political party with a vision to bridge the gap. We realize the existing Gap between Leaders and Followers, between custodians of the law and law offenders, between the government and the citizens, and we are out to bridge these gaps. IPC represents Justice and Fairness For All. We are committed to selfless service to humanity. One Word of Advise For Nigerians? We must realize that this Our country and we have no other place to go than to see ourselves as one to fight our common enemy which is CORRUPTION and also endeavour to A.S.K. What will they ask? A - Act Right S - Shun Violence and Corrupt Practices K - Know The Law and Abide. This way, a New Nigeria is definitely certain. Aluta Continua... Thank You Very Much For Your Time Sir. On this note, I hereby declare my intentions to run in the 2015 general elections as President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria under the umbrella of the Independent Progressive Congress of Nigeria on this day of 21 - 11 - 2014. Remember, It Takes Young Men of Great Courage No Time In Transforming Their Generation. Vote Wisely To Secure The Future. God Bless Nigeria and Strengthen Our Youth!
