Akalia: I am not a fan of Tinubu but if he sincerely meant all those words and he is also sincerely committed to the professed course he is pursuing to save Nigeria then I can't help but throw my weight behind him.
I just want Nigeria to work for me now that I am alive and more importantly for my posterity.
😁
If you still believe this man and his entourage of criminals running the affairs of the country in 2025, then you are on a long thing .
Bosman17: The problem is most Nigerians don’t understand what the challenge is… why has exchange rate gone up? It’s because we have stopped using our external reserves to defend Naira, so Naira can find its true value, we are a consuming nation. So when a bottle of Hennessy is purchased, it’s subsidised and same for all imported products. This has made imported things cheaper than locally made ones; rice and cement for example. What are the benefits of allowing Naira to find its true value? 1. No more racketeering. Recently 1k CBN staffs left voluntarily, no more dollar to resell. The CBN rate is same with black market. 2. Local manufacturers are encouraged as there is no way imported products would be cheaper. 3. The loss on foreign reserve is preserved.
Things will certainly improved, it’s obvious the North don’t want the nation to develop, they are used to free money at the detriment of our collective growth.
Werey.,
for nearly two years naira never find it’s true level.
Na the 1000 people dem sack no allow naira find it’s true level all this while Abi ?
Be there thinking everyone is a zombie like you and your likes on this forum.
blabulu2000: Yaradua regime, the price of fuel was 65 naira per litre ...GeJ regime met it at 65 per litre but was later raised to 87 naira per litre couple with heavy subsidy and additional borrowing... and during the Bihari regime, it was raised to 340 naira per litre due to heavy subsidy and additional borrowing.
Bihari and GeJ add to the country's debt, whereas Baba Tinubu pays it off and reduces our debt servicing burden by 50% in the first quarter of this year.
Now, comparing the price of fuel per litre when it was heavily subsidized to the same fuel when it is no longer subsidized is absurd....perhaps you do not understand the meaning of subsidy... Google will help you.
Them use lies swear for Una APC urchins?
Tinubu that has borrowed in less than 2 years what Buhari borrowed in the entire 8 years?
You see white and call it black.
Una head no correct sha, because a normal person won’t lie at this rate.
femtex007: Werey ni ya e Me am ok with or without government. Its only a lazy man that complains when government remove subsidy. Double ur hustle. And get the fuvk off
You can be anything online
I doubt you are ok. 99 percent of APC supporters are poverty stricken lots that want to drag everyone to their level, and you don’t look like you belong to the other 1 percent who are politicians.
Again, you are really stupid if you think government is run by your wishes prayers.
thesicilian: See? I'm sure they did not pack their bags and leave, they continued doing business and making profit in the same economy. Nigerians and their know it all attitude always thinking it's the bad government that's their only problem not knowing that their own low self esteem is even a bigger reason every Tom Dick & Harry wants to take them for a ride knowing fully well that the blame will go to the government instead
What are you on about here quoting everybody and saying nothing with your long epistle?
The useless government you support is responsible for all these nonsense.
Go out in a public gathering and present these arguments weda dem no go blow your mouth.
Quit justifying/ defending rubbish in the face of glaring facts. It’s makes you sound stupid, and it’s irritating.
Vision101: The new lease of life is coming as a result of removal of subsidy. No more finding constraints. No more corruption. Pure competition and commercial decision. Many will love to have build refinery in Nigeria. That means more employment opportunities.
Rubbish talk as usual from dull people.
When you talk about new lease on life , you are referring to a relief from the high cost of living, which should be seen in a drop in price of fuel and other economic activities tied to it, not those rubbish you itemized there.
Samantha125: You just haven't met your favourite celebrity yet, the one who has that effect on you.
I've also come across some celebrities and politicians before, but didn't go crazy... People would be fighting to take pictures while I'd just stand aside and watch.
But I nearly fainted because of one celebrity...🤦🤦🤦... I didn't want to go crazy, I wanted to contain myself, but my entire body was taken over by excitement.
it’s a woman’s thing. It’s not unusual for a lady to get wet at the sight of a celebrity. Una too like bad bad things .
ValCon888: I read the news here how Burna Boy ended his show because an overexcited fan climbed the stage.
After reading it, I went to my spotify app and clicked "Don't play this artist."
I think it is the height of hubris for a music artist to punish thousands of fans that paid good money to have a good time because of the sins of 1 fan.
That confirmed to me how egotistical this guy is and I blocked his music immediately.
And if you don't know, Burna Boy can never compare to Fela. Even if he wins a million Grammies he cannot lace Fela's shoes.
The impact of Fela on Nigerian society will still be felt after a hundred years. In 20 years Burna Boy will be forgotten.
One is an eternal icon while the other makes a mockery of the giants he's standing on.
I wonder why Dey keep comparing him to fela.
He no near at all. I don’t even know any of his songs.
If celebrity pass my side, I fit troway face like I no know am.
Queenjoyce405: Great read. Detty December really need to be a discourse because the amount of people that cash out, and you say there’s no money in Nigeria keh… naaa and big ups to the CBN though, or am I the one who truly feels Cardoso is highly active and working hard ? I mean policies are continuously rolled out, can’t wait to see the longterm effect, but I’m positive.
Ode! Yes, you are the only one who truly feel so highly active.
What are the effects of the ones they have been rolling out since they assumed office?
If at your age you don’t know that all they have been doing is trial and error, then you need to find out why you were born without brains.
Yes, so that future generations can learn how he utterly destroyed Nigeria within a year, that is if the future generations sef can afford to go to school.
Because the way it is going, these future generations will learn this history under full moon story times like tales by moonlight.😁
Glimpsetv: Following the controversy surrounding the alleged disappearance of ₦180 million from the NGO account owned by activist VeryDarkMan (VDM), there has been significant online backlash. Many influencers and celebrities have criticized VDM, with some casting doubts on his integrity and others expressing disappointment in him.
This reaction isn't entirely unexpected, given the outspoken nature of VDM’s activism.
In response, VeryDarkMan addressed the issue to defend his reputation. He provided an update, revealing that the NGO account has now grown by an additional ₦1 million as supporters continue to contribute despite the rumors.
In his video, VDM explained exactly what happened, revealing that the claims of the missing ₦180 million were part of a prank he orchestrated. He detailed how the prank was meant to test the reactions of fans and Nigerians, many of whom fell for the claim.
As a show of appreciation, VDM announced a ₦200,000 giveaway to a donor who paid ₦1,000 into the account. He explained that the gesture was to thank the individual for their trust and belief in him, even amidst the rumors.
Watch the video to hear VDM’s full updates and details about the NGO funds.
Ijoba85: As if you have better plans if you were in his position. Oya tell us your plans for better naija if you've got one
Werey.
He is not in his position.
The fossil there signed up for the job. He should do what he is paid to do or vacate the seat for a more competent person instead of destroying the country like he is currently doing.
Don’t come here and be asking people stupid questions.
Hemanwel: A family friend, who is a 200L (going to 300L) student of Unizik, came visiting on 31st Dec and surprisingly told me one of his lecturers - an Igbo man - used to be a die-hard supporter of Tinubu, prior to the 2023 elections because he believed he (Tinubu) would replicate the developmental strides of Lagos to Nigeria. Because of that, he canvassed for votes for Tinubu in his community.
But today, that same lecturer is lamenting like the book of Lamentations and cursing the life out of the efulefu presido.
Just like that man, Tinubu is a huge disappointment to many!
When people talk about tinubu’s development strides in Lagos, I use to wonder if they are referring to the same lagos I was born and bred or another Lagos entirely.
geoworldedu: I don't hate anyone o. I tackle all presidents who are performing worst, even if I supported you to get there, thinking you will do well. I remembered supporting Buhari to get there that time. He failed and I criticized. This one, what I said back then was that if he really wants to fix Nigeria, he can do it, because he actually has the capacity and intelligence to do it. But he is already making me see myself as a fool for thinking that any politician can fix Nigeria. Let's bet it, 8 years will come and go and Nigeria will only get worse. You know what I said that? The reason is because I have not seen corruption being tackled. Police still steal and go scot free. Government officials still steal in billions and go scot free. Common people still suffer injustice and nothing is done. They still haven't signed 'Kill Corrupt Politician Immediately' to law and Tinubu is not passing a bill for that any time soon, but National Anthem bill was passed so fast. Private jets and SUVs were purchased so fast. Naira declined so fast and inflation skyrocketed so fast. Billions and trillions of naira were spent for feeding and wardrobe allowances in the presidency, etc.
The conclusion is this, There's no hope for Nigerians.
Nna, so you supported the last failure and this current one 😮
What made you ever believe they were the right people for the job?
This one even came out to say he will continue from where the previous failure stopped and that did not ring an alarm bell?
It’s not enough to tackle after making wrong decisions when all facts were on ground to make an informed decision.
Your actions could have dire consequences if you make a mistake at the decision level.
You are among the people that brought calamity upon Nigeria, so stop whining. It’s too late.
