Some exchangers are nothing but brute capitalists. We have the reasonable one among them but it's either they ignore you and feel big. Most of the credible exchangers here are also full of themselves.
Tabbaz for example did something about three or four days ago that really pained me. I have somebody that wanted to sell Payoneer. He earned the funds from Fiverr and i told him there are people that can buy the Payoneer funds from him and mentioned Tabbaz to him. He wanted to withdraw for the first time. I told the guy that he is the one to send to Tabbaz first that he is very credible and he is 100% genuine. The guy accepted that he would send first and tell me to contact Tabbaz on his behalf even though I have sent Tabbaz number to him (He is not familiar to Nairaland).
When i messaged Tabbaz, he didn't even bother to reply and i was like haaaaaaaaaaaaaa. Kilode.
The ones that normally answers every now and then are the one that buys Fiverr withdrawals at 280/$.
Imagine that rate.
Don't blame fiverr funds sellers only.

Contact a lot of this so called popular exchanger here on NL and their attitudes weren't something to write about . Maybe it's because I ain't transferring millions or hundred of thousands but they forgot customer relationship and impression matters a lot.

The propaganda to make speculators sell all they have will only last for a while. Excessive dollars in the market is from weary holders of the dollar selling most of what they have. The end of the road is right around the corner. Because these individual holders would eventually finish selling the dollars they intend to sell. The glut will end, and then the pressure on the CBN reserves will be in full throttle.

There is no independent assessment of the value of Naira (including the CBN assessment) that says the exchange rate would be less than N300/$1.

Stop the propaganda and enjoy the appreciation while it lasts.

My first question oga, if the $ gets to 600/$ and you are feeling cool in your mini fiefdom with the chicken change you are making have you stopped to think of what will be going on in households and businesses across the country as a spill over effect? (please read reasons given by etisalat nigeria for its present inability to service its loans obtained from nigerian banks)

- Do you really believe that the previous drive up of the $ to N525 was actually organic and not as a result of a skewed market due to a flood of speculators occupying the gap between supply and demand?

- if you were emefele would you fold your hands and watch the Naira become Muagbes currency?

PS - The CBN strategy is a simple one which i suggested long ago when the prophets and analyst were holding court - Teach Hoarders a long lasting lesson (send a lot of them to the village) so the market can correct itself. Q.E.D
