RabbiDoracle:

Ask Greece, Argentina, Venezuela the same question when they said they will guarantee bonds and they did not.
There are risk in all investment. There is the non-dividend payment risk for stocks then there is the bond default risk.
For now, both risks are off the table. Nigeria can service her debts very well and banks will pay Dividends as well.
So don't look at one risk without considering the other. Ok oo.. me I prefer to sign a contract with a COUNTRY that guarantees me 16% interest than a company that assures me nothing |

RabbiDoracle: Then use the same amount to buy UBA at N5.5 for example. This gives you 18.1m units. This units earn dividend after tax of N13.8m. Remember that UBA can hit N18 in 1 year (resulting in a total capital of N325m) or HIT N2 in 3 months (resulting in a total of N36) . You will still be collecting your Dividends even when it falls or rises.
It is advisable to follow the risk that suits you. For me, I won't do long term bond for now. Not yet time!
For you, it could be better to do LT bonds. What is the guarantee that UBA dividend will be consistent? |

rebekah2011: If I have N100m, I will put everything in Zenith Bank and just be collecting dividend and wait to sell when it gets to N30 because I am very sure it will get to that price. I’ll secure that 100m with the government first! Then take the interest and invest in sleepless nights nse |

OakPearl: The power of compound interest from 6-monthly coupons over 10 yeras cannot be over emphasised you remember.
Imagine someone who needs his peace of mind with his N100m. That's N14m every year to play in the NSE for 10 years at 14%.

Mpeace: The whole deal is not too clear to me. CCNN shareholders will be serious minorities in the new company. The 35naira valuation is not too different from the 66 naira FO stuff. Its all paper stuff. Me think the current demand/bull is due to a certain shareholder trying to enhance his position by accumulation, pending the completion of the merger. My opinion though. Cement business is looking sweet, but one has to be careful cos what's happening in the breweries can also happen here. Big players are on the increase. I see better opportunities in Zee/UBA/FID/FCMB Ok dear |

DeRuggedProf: 33.9 Billion OS... They will always need JB cranes to lift the share price... Convert to cash into GTB, UBA, FCMB, FIDELITY, FMN. Then go to bed. CP, Oracle, OGG, FXUSER, BBM will tell you when to sell. After the short rally you saw, there will be total eclipse..... Prof, only 1 person hold 95% oo.. it not like transcorp that is in me, loco and tritritri hand oo. I’ll not post anything on ccnn again.. Let go and think my next move |

OakPearl: This CCNN price movement in the first 15 mins of trading today clearly indicates dumping.
They will pump it up to offload intermitently until they complete their exit strategy. Holders use your head. And you are soo sure ? Full bid on diamond started from Sunday.. Dangote flour from Saturday.. anything that has involved take over, merger, acquisition better to turn Lucas cos you don’t know what announcement the stock exchange house is “delaying” |

Jejebabaa: I remembered very well. Truly, There are 2 types of traders in the market : 1. Those that are humble and 2. Those that will be humbled. Oga Godisfaithful was forcefully humbled by Mr Market via oando and had to change moniker from Myjoy08. But this humbleness was extreme and made him permanently bearish on NSE. I really pray he doesn't miss this coming "bull". Worse case was when he bought $ at peak of 500/$ hoping to sell at 1000/$. "Wuked" market with woundjurement. The same oando sent Prof Ucheson on permanent exile. I’ll prefer to miss a bull than this haircut I’m receiving.. he’ll be alright |
